Challenge Summary
GARS Private Trading Exchange (PTX) provides IBM Business Partners, Brokers and Internal Sellers a web front end to obtain GARS (Certified Used) inventory. The buying opportunities include purchasing from a catalog, requesting quotes and custom configurations, and participating in offerings.
The client is looking to develop a mobile version with limited functionality of the web application. This competition is to develop the UI design for the mobile version based off of the web design. The mobile version of the website will focus on the buyer role and will allow buyers to perform limited functionality including:
Check order status
Check RFQ status
Create feature RFQ (Request for Quote)
Order payment in one of the Order Payment stores
Each of these functions may include multiple UI screens to be designed.
Round 1
Deliver UI design for the following pages per the requirements.
1) Create feature order- Enter feature order information
3) View shopping cart - Review cart and Create RFQ
4) Create RFQ – Enter comments & submit RFQ
7) Orders to be paid - Display a list of orders to be paid for the user's company, allow them to select orders to pay and amount to pay
8) View order page - Allow buyer to see details of order selected
11) Change store page
Round 2
Submissions which pass round 1 must make updates / incorporate feedback from round 1 and deliver the UI design for the remaining pages as specified in the requirements.
Primary Goals:
The goal of this competition is to design a mobile version of each of the pages specified in the requirements to be accessed from the browser of the following supported mobile devices: iPhone, Android and Blackberry.
Screenshots of the pages on the web version are attached to the competition. The mobile versions should be based off of the web design. Look and feel of the pages should follow ibm.com and utilize the CSS provided.
The target audience for this work is Business Partners and Brokers entitled to the PTX application looking to check on the status of their orders and/or RFQs and perform limited functionality including creation of feature orders or order payment from their smartphones.
Winning submissions must meet the requirements outlined below and provide the most user friendly / functional design to allow buyers to perform the functions outlined below.
Requirements & Specifications:
The UI screens to be designed for this competition are broken into the following functional areas / UI screens from the web application. There are a total of 11 pages to be designed for this competition.
When accessed through the browser, the user should have the option to view the mobile version or the full web version.
Pages:
1) Create feature order- Enter feature order information
2) Build your own details- Review information for feature and create a cart / add to cart
3) View shopping cart - Review cart and Create RFQ
4) Create RFQ – Enter comments & submit RFQ
5) Enter pricing – Enter requested price for products
6) RFQ Submission - Confirmation of RFQ submission
Pay for an Order- Function allows a buyer to pay for a previously submitted order in one of the Order payment stores
Pages:
7) Orders to be paid - Display a list of orders to be paid for the user's company, allow them to select orders to pay and amount to pay
8) View order page - Allow buyer to see details of order selected
9) Payment page - show details of payments to be made and allow buyer to enter payment information or select saved payment information via IBM Payment Systems e-Payment iframe
10) Payment result - display confirmation of payment
Change store - allow buyer to switch to a different store they are entitled to via store drop down

Colors/fonts should follow the colors on the current web pages using the attached standards as appropriate.
Target Audience:
The target audience for this work is Business Partners and Brokers entitled to the PTX application looking to check on the status of their orders and/or RFQs and perform limited functionality including creation of feature orders or order payment from their smartphones.
Branding Guidelines:
The pages to be designed do not require any logo, our logo is part of a common shared header which is not within the scope of this competition. We have some information in this spec in regard to text colors to be used. (Please check attached color and font standards.png)
Reference Designs: See attached document PTX 12.1 Mobile UI Design pt2_page requirements.doc which contains screenshots of the web version of the pages to be used as a base for the mobile design. PTX 12.1 Mobile UI Design pt2_page html.zip contains the html for the current web pages and the CSS to be used for the mobile screens.
Judging Criteria: Winning submissions must provide design for all 11 pages meeting the specified requirements and provide the most user friendly / functional design to allow buyers to perform the functions on a mobile device
