Primary Goal & Design Considerations

We already have an initial avatar design, now we want to apply different skin tones or complexions to our avatars. For this contest, you are going to apply different skin tones/complexions to the provided avatar designs with the features outlined below.

Requirements

  1. Create a skin tone matrix that will serve as a guideline in changing the skin complexions of our existing avatar designs.
    - Your skin tones should mimic real world skin complexions and mix it with some crazy colors that you think will be creative.
    - Skin tones need to have a wide variety of choices or an almost complete range of skin complexions would be great.
    - The goal here is to let the user choose the skin tone they want and apply that skin tone to the avatar design they initially choose.

  2. Name each skin tone.
    - Each skin complexion should have a name.
    - Be creative and fun BUT not offending.

  3. Apply your skin tone to the provided avatars
    - Each skin tone should be applied to all the provided avatars
    - Example, if you have 10 skin tones, each avatar should have 10 skin tones applied.
    - The provided avatars are saved individually, your submission should show all the skin tones applied to each avatar displaying them in vertical order.

Branding Guidelines
- fit yourself in the shoes of a high school student, then think of the coolest avatar you want to have that screams loud and cool!
- each skin tone color box should at least have a size of 64 pixel width by 32 pixel height.

Target Audience
- middle school and high school students (13-18 year old demographic)
- there will be two student groups who will actually judge the submissions

Judging Criteria

- Creativity in naming the skin tones
