Challenge Summary

Welcome to TC Maps Mashup Site Storyboard Contest.
The goal of this contest is to create a storyboard for TC Maps Mashup site using google maps API that will show some Topcoder statistics arround the world (ie:Top Paid Countries, Top Registration Contries, etc)

Round 1

Round 1 requires submission of screens for Overview Statistic Page

Round 2

Round 2 begins with feedback for all and detailed feedback for the milestone winners. For final deadline, all screens and source files required for this contest are due


This contest  is to create a storyboard for TC Maps Mashup site.

Design Requirement

  • You can use actual google maps image.
  • Please create a nice maps marker/pin (containing TC icon is highly recommended), but it should not be too complex
    example : http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/wiki/NumericIcons
  • Please Use standard fonts


On All Pages :
Please use http://www.topcoder.com/  and attached files as reference. You also will need to redesign header (include menu) and footer area.
Maps Area is in full widescreen.

1. Overview Statistic Page
Marker/pin : your custom marker contain rank number (1,2,3,etc)

This page will displays Top 10 Contries using Google maps in world level (depth)
(see: http://www.topcoder.com/)

In maps, please provide a overlay filter form  (labels and checkboxs) to toggle (show/hide) maps groups.
Guide : open http://maps.google.com/, click “Satellite” image in top right corner.
It contains :
[ x ] Top Registration (see 1.1 Top Registration)
[    ] Top Paid, (see 1.1 Top Paid)
[    ] Top Lorem Ipsum
[    ] Top Lorem Ipsum

Also please provide a table for statistic. It is similar to table in page1.jpg and page3. Jpg.

Country 'info window'(Popup)  is already open when page is loaded. Info displayed is exactly like in page2 image.
'Info window' is a box contain information in a maps.

Clicking Info Window will open a bigger window that will cover entire screen, rest of map is “inaccessible”. Use has to close this to explore map more.  

1.1 Top Registration
       The contries will be marked with a numbering markers based on their rank.
        Info window: Country : United State, Total : 85.659; Software : 70.000 ;Studio : 1.000; Copilots :20
1.1 Top Paid
       The contries will be marked with a numbering markers based on their rank.
Info window: Country : United State, Total : $99.999; Software : $99.999 ;Studio : $99.999; Copilot :$99.999
    
2. Member Statistic Page
Marker/pin :  profile photo, It is like panoramio

This also will be similar to Overview Statistic Page ,  but for displaying Top 10 Coder.

  1. Panoramio style load when page opens up: all member images are displayed AND their handles.
  2. When image is clicked, it opens up an info window with:
    a. User picture,
    b. Handle
    c. Summary of experience/ratings
  3. This info window can expand even more – opens big window like panoramia does : open over entire screen, rest of map is “inaccessible”. Display:
    a. Same as 2) but with more details
    b. Rating Graph (dummy image)

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Please upload PNG/JPEG images in a zip file with all requested contest requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator (or equivalent) and saved as layered PSD/AI files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
