Textron MySite MyProfile Storyboard Update Contest

Welcome to the Textron MySite MyProfile Storyboard contest. The company is preparing to launch an employee portal that has an existing branded design and color palette, this page will serve as the company's collaboration tools. Users of approximately 25,000 worldwide employees across numerous company divisions will connect to this page.

We already have storyboard design and we are looking for an update to this design that will be used for SharePoint application. SharePoint is an enterprise collaboration tool that make it easy for employee to set up web sites to share information with others, manage documents, and publish reports to help everyone make better decisions.

This is a short Storyboard Contest.  We need milestones in by 2/24, and Final Designs in by 2/28.  We anticipate quick milestone feedback turnaround.

Primary Goal & Design Considerations

The goal of this contest is to update the provided storyboard with the features outlined below.

You will be given two set of storyboard and we'd like to pick and merge some features in each set.

Requirements

Note:  For any parts asked to be added (i.e. buttons), please see the Attachment: "Main functional pages within Textron MySites 2-16-12ds.docx"  Use the matching styles from the overall design.

• BANNER CHANGES:

-Remove the black bar from the top and bottom

-We want the banner closer to the ERIC portal scheme.  Consider dark brown or teal to compliment the lighter brown background.  The banner needs to be dark enough so white text shows up on it.

-Replace the "Textron Collaboration Center" logo with the "ERIC" logo (attached), and add the word "Connect" (on the right or below) = "ERIC Connect"

- The "view my profile as seen by" needs to stand out better.  -"Read Less" link should say "Read More"

- The search box must contain the text from the dark version "People/Skill Finder"

- Use the First Name, Last Name format from the darker design.

• OVERALL PAGES:

The base storyboard is the "light brown" design, but update it to have:
- bold use of the teal/blue green horizontal section items on the pages of the "dark brown" design including all the small icons (coffee cup, wrench, etc) that appear in the blue/green bars
- incorporate the general look of the "dark brown" black modal/popover windows

• OVERVIEW PAGE:
  - The Ask Me About section is important for collaboration: It would normally have all the details which is key to making connections with others.
  - The current layout seems to only allow the user a place to go for updating their "Ask Me About." The Ask Me About information itself needs to appear prominently on the page. Maybe it can fit where it appears under colleagues, but it needs to allow for at least 8 links.
  - Note Board and Recent Activities may need a Read More button. I don't think it will all fit in the space shown. An active person could get many notes per day. Insert a way to access those from the Overview Page.  
  - In the My Organization area, we need to add the Organization Browser button.

• ORGANIZATION PAGE:
  - the page is okay but it needs to have the general changes above to the banner, logo, etc
  - the sideways profile heads seems odd. The names need to run sideways, but it's strange to see sideways faces.  Change this so the faces are upright, or use a more creative approach.

• CONTENT PAGE:
  - Needs to include everything that a MySite content page offer in the regular, out of the box configuration. Some items were dropped off and need to be put back.
  - All of these items need to have the blue/green button/heading treatment:
    * Shared Documents (with MS file icons below)
    * Personal Documents (with MS file icons below)
    * Recent Blog Posts
    * Sites
    * Libraries
    * Pictures
  - A key item missing from the Content Page is the scrolling horizontal nav tool that shows all the Groups the user belongs to. Those links allow the user to get to content in those groups, based on the persmissions to access that group's content. For example, here are some of my groups that show up on my own Content page:
    * Corporate Communications
    * HR Communications
    * Enterprise Editorial Calendar
    * ERIC Portal Project
  - Each of these in the scrolling bar is a link to a Team/Project site that has content unique to that group.
  - The "I Like It" and "Tags and Notes" icons/buttons that normally appear on the Content pages are not in this design. We need those.
  - The Content Page has a different function than the MyContent page. Please see MySite out of the box page design. The design of Content page and MyContent page need to include all the correct buttons/tools for each.
  - As with the MyNewsfeed page, the MyContent page does not use the large user profile photo and all the About Me info etc as with the other secondary pages. The profile image is show, but smaller, to open up more useable space for the MyContent and MyNewsfeed.

• TAGS AND NOTES PAGE:
  - Same as the other pages mentioned above, the main functions will all need the blue/green heading/button treatment. It needs to apply to all of these main functions:
    * Activities for
    * Refine by Type
    * Refine by Tag
    * Add SharePoint Tags and Notes Tool

• COLLEAGUES PAGE:
  - Several of the key buttons were not included. We need to see these appearing below the main nav items, running horizontally below those as they do in a standard MySite. These all need the blue/green heading/button treatment:
    * Add Colleagues
    * View Suggestions
    * Edit Colleagues
    * Remove Colleagues
  - Heading/Buttons such as those on all pages will need the pop-up, rollover/modal window with a sentence that tells what they do.

• WHAT'S NEW PAGE:
  - We would like to call this My Newsfeed.
  - Does not need to show the Today's date.
  - Page is missing buttons like:
    * Site Action
    * Browse
    * Page
  - We'd like My Colleagues, My Interests, Newsfeed Setting nav buttons to all get the blue-green header/button treatment.

• MEMBERSHIPS PAGE:
  - Page needs an "Edit Memberships" button, similar to treatment of Edit Colleagues on colleagues page.

• EDIT MY PROFILE:
  - We need an additional page design for Edit My Profile. We want that page to work just as it does in MySite out-of-the-box Edit My Profile, but with the new design look applied.

Branding Guidelines
- it must follow the same look and feel of the provided "light brown" theme design

Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Please upload PNG/JPEG images in a zip file with all requested contest requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator (or equivalent) and saved as layered PSD/AI files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.
