Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Accenture Dynamic Supply Chain (DSC) Design contest. The goal of this contest is to create interactive content storyboards, based on the provided PPT files. These will live in a new iPad application, the base of which has already been designed.

Round 1

For Round 1 you will need to submit the base screens for each of the four (4) required main screens - you are NOT required tosubmit the other four (4) screens (popups/interactive effect screens).

Round 2

Round 2 will begin with announcement of the milestone winners and client feedback. You will need to submit all eight (8) required screens for Round 2.

Contest Details

Accenture DSC group is creating an iPad app, which will contain information about DSC, for their existing and potential clients. The iPad app has already been designed; Your task is to take four (4) of the client's PPT screens and make them work and function within the existing app storyboards and show touch effects (popups / modals) for a total of eight (8) required screens.

Goals

The client's PPT slides have been compiled from a variety of sources / created at various times, by various people. You are to take the required screens from this content and create a style/rules for all content look/feel and interactivity, going forward. Your goals are to:

1) Make the content look consistent from slide to slide.
It should appear as though all content was created at the same time, by the same person. This goal should be achieved through proper + very consistent use of: font styles and sizes, padding, spacing, graphic element styles, colors, etc.

2) Make the content look as though it belongs within the application.
It should appear that the content was created specifically for the iPad application. This goal should be achieved through recognizing the rules and standards set by the application's design, and following these throughout your storyboards. Some examples:

- incorporate the colors and color rules from the iPad design.
- the app uses flat color blocks (without gradients, drop shadows, etc) with considerable padding around text.
- fonts (other than the client logo) are web-safe fonts (arial, etc)

The designs should be entirely unique and fresh. You are to take the CONCEPTS and text from the slides and re-imagine them as new/unique designs. You are NOT to simply "clean up" the existing slides and "fit" them into the app.

3) Define a visual style for ALL other content to follow.
We have chosen four (4) slides for you to work from, which generally represent the rest of the content. The visual "rules" you create with your submission should be clearly defined as they will be followed for all content going forward.
Some potential examples of this:
- if for example you chose to display photos within a certain shape (circle/rsquare/etc) with a 10px border - ALL photos in the app will be displayed in this style.
- if you chose to use a particular graphic or style to indicate links/touchabilty - ALL links in the app will be indicated with this graphic/style.
- if you choose to display graphs / charts / data tables in a certain style - ALL graphs / charts / data tables in the app will use this style.
- whatever font sizes / styles / spacing rules you use in your design will be used for all content.

4) Show clearly defined examples of how the interactive / popup elements should be handled.
There will be various graphics, photos and text that will trigger some animation on touch (see "requirements", below). You should create clear and consistent rules for how such elements should appear. User experience should be logical and intuitive.

Requirements

You must submit your designs for all of the PPT slides, listed below - for a total of eight (8) screens (4 main screens and 4 popups/interactive effect screens).

We have provided an iPad PSD and you should create your content within the blank content area. Your submission screens must show your designs withIN the application.

You will find the content details in the contest downloads.

Brand Guidelines

We are providing the client's brand color guidelines for you.
- You may add no more than four (4) NEW colors to the iPad app (less is preferred!). Black AND an unlimited number of shades of grey will count as 1 color.
- You may ONLY use colors found in the provided color guide. Note that the "web safe / smart" color values should be used.
- The iPad app uses the following brand approved colors > Pool Blue (#00bbee), Cranberry Red (#aa1133), Brick Red (#992222), Violate (dark) blue (#002266 / *links). If you add new colors, they must work well with these colors.
