Requirements& Design Considerations

Primary Considerations:

  1. Use Lycoming.com as a reference for content only (most of the pages/sub pages below map to the website) - we are planning to drasticaly improve upon this website.
  2. Clients like this site - http://www.cessna.com  for the banner, menu, and menu popover.
  3. Clients like this site - https://www.blackbaud.com/ for the overall design, clean design, banner, boxes
  4. Clients like this site - http://www.brocade.com/ for fitting everything on one page, product mouseover with seperate "How to Buy Section"
  5. Clients like this site - http://www.broadcom.com/ for product mousover with sections and 3 boxes
  6. Breadcrumbs are required.
  7. Standard small footer (like on broadcom.com and lycoming.com)
  8. Easy navigation.
  9. Clean design - but not too much whitespace
  10. The subpages like Engines currently have the menu nav on the left side and are very wordy.  The client doesn't like this.  Please find a better way to display the same amount of information with a better menu navigation.  We will provide more feedback at the milestone.
