Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Soteria Passenger Voucher Idea Generation contest. For this contest, the client has presented us with a real world business problem. They are looking to you for creative solutions. Your task is to submit one or more solutions for the folowing problem:

“We have a business need to be able to get approved taxi vouchers to our clients, often on short deadlines, to enable travel to medical appointments.   At present, we must get the voucher to the client by mail or fax in time for the travel which is sometimes a challenge and results in many phone calls.  We would like to explore opportunities for the voucher to become available electronically to our clients and/or the taxi companies they use - A new system.  Our clients may or may not have access to a home printer or fax machine but often do have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone.  We would like your ideas on how we could solve this business problem.”

You can read how Wikipedia defines "voucher" system here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voucher

Requirements

Guidelines for your Submission
The goal of this contest is to suggest new concepts for a voucher system. The client does not want us to worry about what technologies are actually available to all  passengers / drivers / taxi companies. You should come up with an idea to overcome the real business issue stated above. List out any assumptions that will make your idea work.

NOTE – we are looking for a wide variety of ideas for both Mobile and NON Mobile.

Your idea document should contain three (3) sections: Idea, Assumptions and Use Case Scenario.

My Idea : this section will detail your idea on how to solve this problem. Be sure to write up as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) technologies and devices used.

My Assumptions: this section will list the assumptions that you have made, in order for this system to work. Quick example: My idea is for the passenger to use "X" device to display "X" data to the driver. In this concept, I would list these assumptions: "1. the passenger has X device to receive the data", "2. the driver has x device to read the data"

My Use Case Scenario: this section will detail at least one (1) use case scenario. A use case scenario is a a walk-though example of how the idea would work in real life. Quick example: "The passenger receives "X" information on "X" device. The passenger gets in a taxi and gives the driver "X" information by way of "X". The driver takes "X information and uses "X" to relay the information to the taxi company. The taxi company uses "X" to log the information."

Organizing Your Submission

Your submission should be primarily or entirely textual, containing a detailed description of your idea, assumptions and use case scenario(s). Preferably one document, with three (3) sections:
1. Idea Details
2. Assumptions
3. Use Case Scenario(s)

Although there are no limit to number of submissions you can upload, you should only upload multiple submissions if each one is comprehensive and substantially different from your others. Within these constraints, you are free to describe any number of alternative approaches and extra features. In fact, we encourage you to do so. You can't have too many ideas!

Target Audience
The target audience will be the general public, taxi drivers and taxi companies.

Judging Criteria
You will be judged on your creativity of the idea and the ease of use for the passengers. You will also be judged on how clearly you describe your idea, assumptions and use case scenario(s)
