Challenge Summary

Welcome to the FitBuddies Facebook Mobile Web App!

Our client would like to build a Facebook-friendly mobile web application that allows users to find fitness buddies (i.e. to basketball with, to find a tennis partner, etc.) or to create sports events and invite others to join. It will have Facebook integration in order to leverage the users’ connections, introduce viral/sharing features, and invite users to the service. It will also need a payment integration to capture and charge users a recurring monthly subscription.

For this contest, the client is looking clean, simple, impressive and user-friendly Facebook mobile storyboard design.

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit following screen for client review:

  1. Login
  2. New user flow (integration with Facebook)
  3. Invite flow (integration with Facebook)
  4. Home page
  5. Create event
  6. Display event details

Primary Goal & Design Considerations
The primary goal of this application is to design storyboards for a mobile web application that will be implemented with HTML5, JS, CSS after this contest. Based on the provided spec, our client already have initial mockup for the desired web app. Please check the attached ppt for reference and as your starting point.

Requirements:
We need the design of screens to cover the following features.

  1. Login
  2. New user flow (integration with Facebook)
  3. Invite flow (integration with Facebook)
  4. Home page
  5. Create event
  6. Display event details
  7. Payment page (WePay flow)

You can check the attached spec ppt for detail information, since there is no wireframe contest for this project, our client will be actively supporting the forum, if you have any concern or problem, please let us know asap.

Design Guidelines:

  • Your designs must be unique and cannot mimic other apps or characters (real or fictional).
  • You're designing a mobile web application. It must be supported by mobile screens. Use 320 x 480 pixels as screen resolution to support a wide variety of mobile devices (portrait orientation only).
  • You are required to design a simple logo for this app, the attached FBUD logo.png is just for inspiration. The logo should be integrated into the app.
  • The sport symbols in the New User Flow are just for reference, don't use them. Please create designs for the following sports: Basketball, Cycling, Football, Frisbee, Kickball, Ping-Pong, Running, Soccer, Squash, Tennis, Weight Lifting, Other (general athletics).
  • Use web-safe fonts for the pages content.
  • Our client likes the design of ZipCar iphone app and Path.com's iPhone app, you can take these as reference.
  • We are targeting to build a facebook mobile integration as you can see in some pages, check specifications about this in the facebook dev site http://developers.facebook.com/docs/mobile/web/build.

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
All Requested Contest Requirements stated above in JPG or PNG format.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and saved as layered format.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Stock Photography

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
