Challenge Summary

Welcome to Closet Share Mobile Screen Design Contest! Closet Share is mobile app that will allow users to photograph and catalog clothing items into a ‘virtual closet’ and share items with their friends in order to get feedback on “what should I wear” this evening. 

In this contest we want your help to create a professional design screens for iPhone.

Round 1

For round 1 you should submit all screens.

Round 2

For round 2 you should submit all screens.


Project Overview

Closet Share is mobile app that will allow users to photograph and catalog clothing items into a ‘virtual closet’ and share items with their friends in order to get feedback on “what should I wear” this evening.

Required Screens and Items

  1. Logo
    Attached a scanned paper with hand writing logo, they want something similar where it connects the C in closet with S from Share. The logo should be shown in the landing page and splash screen.
  2. Splash Screen
    Design a splash screen that have the logo placed in it.
  3. Landing Screen
    This screen should contain the the following
    1. My Closet – this takes user to Closet category screen
    2. Outfits – this will take user to Outfits screen
    3. Add Item – this will take user to Add Item flow
    4. discussions – this will take user to discussions screen
  4. Closet category screen
    This screen will display the categories - shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, shoes, accessories. Tapping in any category should take the user to Closet screen.
  5. Closet screen
    In this screen, the items should appear on hangers as in closet and user should be able to scroll through it with slide left/right capability, tapping on any item will take user to Photos of clothing items.
  6. Photos of clothing items
    This screen will display the details about the selected item. Upload date, list of tags, share icon to start discussion
  7. Discussions
    This display a list of all sharing the user involved in, whether he shared it or invited to. We want the unread discussion to be marked in different color read discussion, and to be displayed at the top of the screen so user can distinguish between them.
  8. Discussion thread
    This will display the shared photo with all comments - it can be a facebook-like photo/comments screens but with like/unlike feature.
  9. Notification feature
    We want to notify users about any update in the discussions, whether someone commented on a discussion or whether they are invited.
  10. App Icon
    Design an app icon that will be placed in iphone/android home screen, it should be aLarge 512x512 pixels Icon. Here is what App Store requires :
    A large version of your app icon that will be used on the App Store. It must be at least 72 DPI and a minimum of 512x512 pixels (it cannot be scaled up). It must be flat artwork without rounded corners.

Branding

Color : Up to designer

Fonts : The font should be web-safe that render ok in iPhone Safari and Chrome

Logo : You need to design one following the attached logo image

Size : iPhone regular display size (320px X 480px) in Vertical version

Target Audience
people that need help from their friends to decide what to wear in an event, or people who loves sharing and discussing fashions.

Your submission will be judged on the following criteria:
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
All Requested Contest Requirements stated above in a 24 bit PNG format

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and saved as layered format.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
