Challenge Summary

Travelink is a website that will be used to illustrate and filter friend's trip itineraries graphically on a map by three main search criteria: location, person or group of people, and dates of travel. It is an online portal belonging to a community can access for free to see where their friends are going, find out about their friend's past travel experiences, and connect with potential buddies.

In this contest we want your help to design website pages based on contest requirements with professional and modern looks. Read contest details for more details breakdown.

Round 2

  • You must submit all required screens and items listed in requirements and polish your submission based on given feedbacks.

We provide you with a sample Wireframe and a note how user will interact with website. The wireframe is just to demonstrate how application will interact with user. It does not demonstrate the layout! This is important to note because most wireframes DO show layout. Our wireframe is there just to show you how the clickthrough may work. Please come up with your own ideas regarding the layout of the design. DO NOT copy the wireframe.

  • Logo, you need put logo in your storyboard, design a simple, clean and professional logo for this website that contains text "TRAVELINK".

  1. Search Page, reference Main_Page.html in this page user can perform search for past friend's trip experience or their friend's trip plan, based on 3 criteria: by location, person or dates.
  2. Search Result Page, reference Search_Result.html, in this page user will be shown the search result on map.
  3. My Trip Page (Pop Up), reference Main_Page.html, this page will be used by user to share their trip plan or their past trip experience.
  4. Friend Trip Experience Page (Pop Up), reference Main_Page.html, this page will shows information of user's friend trip experience.

Branding

Color: Bright color.

Fonts: Web-safe fonts.

Size: Minimum width 960px. Must support fluid layout in wide browser.

Target Audience

People that love travelling, want to find out about their friend's past travel experience, want to share their trip plan or want to know where their friend are going.

Judging Criteria

Your submission will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Logo 
  • Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
  • User Experience.

 

Submission, Source Files & Final Fixes

Preview Image

Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File

Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files

All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered format.

Final Fixes

As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
