Challenge Summary

The purpose of this project is to provide an inline web browser preview capability for downloadable assets like .pdf, .doc, .ppt etc.   End user should be able to preview the assets in their browser prior to downloaded the asset and opening the file locally.

Round 1

For milestone review, you must submit a full solution which addreses all the requirements with the 1024 px and wider screens. We will choose 3 milestone winners, each one will get $50 milestone prize and provide general feedbacks to all submission and specific feedback to each milestone winner submission.

Round 2

In the final round, you will submit the full submission with the 1024 px and wider screens which is improved and revised based on the provided feedbacks in round one.

Since the assets can appear on ANY page on our site we need a solution that will not "interrupt" the rest of the page.We believe a pop up when hover over or maybe a click on a small icon next to the asset is the appropriate solution so please design this page as a pop up window  instead of a separate / standalone page.

We've provided some samples in the attached document, but we don't want competitors to simply follow the sample preview page, instead we would like for the competition to drive some other ideas on the user interface.

IMPORTANT

- Keep simple and clean design! And have great user experience.
- Group/package each graphics in its own folder layer with appropriate names/titles.
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles should work together.
- All of the graphic should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance.
- Make sure your design use Windows standard fonts (arial, tahoma, etc)
- All text must be editable and non-graphical.
- You must provide us how every screens looks in 1024px width and more wider screens.

Target Audience
- Employees of IBM business partners. They use the PartnerWorld portal to access IBM sales, marketing, and technical support collateral.

Judging Criteria

- Whether the pop up window shows the preview nicely and how easy it is to navigate through pages (the asset to be previewed could have many pages).
- Whether the pop up window fits well into the parent page

Branding Guidelines
- None needed because this would be designed as a pop up window.
