Challenge Overview
ABCD Web Tool is an enterprise application, purposed to provide users with a comprehensive manufacturing delivery status of all of the parts and/or features in an IBM System x product configuration prior to ordering.
The expected benefit of this application is to provide IBM and customers with better information to make decision during configuration regarding selection(s), which may delay delivery of IBM products.
Data Sourcing component is one out of 3 towers of the ABCD Web Tool. Other two are: User Interface (UI) and Configuration Management Application (CMA.
DS component in ABCD web tool is independent and will not interface or exchange information with other two components in architecture.
DS component is back end data load processing tower of ABCD web tool, which will be run manually or automatically as per schedule to load the data provided by trusted sources in input files.
Note: DS component will be hosted on same physical server where Database server is hosted.
