Challenge Summary

Welcome to the TopCoder Member Stats Infographic Design Contest.  The TopCoder community is growing and we want to display out growth statistics in a fun and engaging way! As of today, the total number of community members has passed 400,000 members! We would like to create an infographic that illustrates this historic achievement but also incorporates other numbers and growth concepts that illustrate the amazing TopCoder community.

Round 1

For round 1 we are looking for your infographic rough concept and short explanation. For this round, the concept and overall look/feel of your infographic should be apparent, but we will expect that this is the rough graphic version, which will be cleaned up and finalized in round 2.

Round 2

For round 2 you are expected to submit your final version of your infographic design. This submission should also contain your text description of what information it is meant to convey to the user.

Contest Details
TopCoder is looking for a cool Infographic poster that illustrates the growth of the community and any of the provided stats we have provided below. We want this graphic to be fun and engaging! (have fun creating it!)

You are encouraged to submit rough concepts in round one (so we can provide you feedback on your directions and overall graphic/illustration choices) and then clean them up/finalize your design for Round 2. Please note that we are looking for inforgaphics ONLY. You should include a text file that contains a short description of what information your infographic is meant to convey.

Stats to pull from:
- See attached Excel document (view all the tabs)
- See attached Member count

- Number of countries represented by TopCoder community
- Growth of mobile application competitions (choose a number for the design)
- Growth of “big data” competitions (choose a number for the design)
- What concepts/numbers would be interesting to a "non-TopCoder" viewer

Think of the TopCoder community "400,000" member theme
- What type of graphics/concepts do you think of?
- What should the icons/steps/concepts portray to the user graphically?

Note:
- Focus on the "Infographic" aspect of this - show us your concepts! We are interested in what stats should be shown in the poster and how it should be illustrated.
- If you have an idea for a stat/community item that we are not providing - ask us and we will try and find the information
- In Round one your design doesn't need to be perfect - show us your concepts, ideas and illustrations - so we can provide you feedback/art direction.
