Challenge Summary

SQuIDS is an existing application used to support test case creation/planning/resulting and defect management (primarily). The goal of this project is to give it a more professional appearance and allow the interaction with the components to be more efficient and natural for the end users.

The core 'structure' of the application, meaning the way test cases and defects are formed hierarchically and the data that makes them up needs to remain the same. There is a TON of reporting and trending based on this infrastructure. But people need to be able to work within the tool in an easier, more time-friendly manner. People also need to be able to customize the tool (where appropriate) to support these goals.

Notes, we’ve already run the Conceptualization contest and that this contest is a followup to that to get additional input and ideas from the community about how to improve the Squids application.  You can find the latest Conceptualization Doc in attachment.
