Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Benchmarking and Reporting Tool Rewrite Wireframes contest.

The entire system is a tool suite that

  • Collects data as a answers to questions (grouped into surveys),
  • Evaluates metrics for respondents based on submitted data/answers,
  • Categorizes respondents into peer groups based on submitted data or computed metric values,
  • Computes statistical data and
  • Generates various reports (in MS Excel and PowerPoint).

The main component is a Visual Basic 6 application that controls the data processing and reporting part. It also provides direct data import from MS Excel files into DB2.

The scope of this project is to re-implement this data processing and reporting (DPR) component using Java based technologies. And because of this, we need to switch from the desktop based UI (VB6) to web based UI, and the objective of this contest is to desigh the wireframes for new web based UI.

NOTE: almost all requirements (except for Sign-in and Sign-out) in round 1 and 2 come from the "Usability requirements" section in the provided document, and most of the requirements are already covered in "Appendix C - User Interface Mockups", but some features are uncovered (like Sign-in, Sign-out, error page, etc). For this contest, you need to provide pages to cover all the requirements. In case you find the iamges in Appendix C too small, you can download the attached .ppt file which contains the original images.
