Challenge Overview
The purpose of this project is to find a way to utilize a rules engine application that allows certain business users build and generate their own PBP (Plan Benefit Package) rules based on Company plans. Currently IT along with one business user (currently) has the knowledge to build and generate complicated rules based on the PBP structure and guidelines set out by CMS (Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services). These change yearly which can cause very complicated and time consuming code changes to many rules. A new application is needed that has a simple, user friendly interface that allows a business user the ability to create rules with very little knowledge of coding or writing script.
Note that we're doing something different than normal for this copilot competition. The main goal is to produce a proposal for the project following the attached template. To reflect the time and effort required to successfully meet this goal we have increased the prize for this copilot opportunity and added a milestone:
- Milestone: The milestone must be uploaded Sunday by 5PM EST to be eligible for a $50 bonus. We will provide submission reviews on Friday and and again on Monday, no later than 24 hours after the milestone is due. You will then have approximately 48 hours to ask any questions and finalize your work.
- Teams: You are welcome to submit a solution as a team. For example, a Studio and Software copilot may split the work of creating a proposal together. This may be beneficial if you include a screenshot and workflow diagrams as part of your proposal.
