Challenge Summary

Welcome to “CHAOS - PXV2 eCommerce Portal Wireframes” contest. The client of this project is CHAOS which is a company that running the largest industrial gases company in North and South America and one of the largest worldwide. Our client has an application called PDI CHAOS express portal (PXV2) which is their platform to integrate B2B (Business to Business) process. This application allow corporate clients (and not only corporate clients) to access CHAOS’s products and services from anywhere in the covered regions. However, this application will be expire and for which the provider will discontinue support. The goal of this project is to re-design this platform into a newer platform that will leverage all the B2B user experience through optimizations that makes the whole product selection, buying and payment process smoother, thus increasing the revenues of the company. In this contest, we need your help to design workflow for the new PXV2 application that can achieve all those purpose above and can be integrated into the existing external application such as E-catalogs used by the portal built on IBM WebSphere commerce software (WCS).

At the end of this contest, we are looking an HTML wireframes  which showing a new workflow for the application and can be use as suggestion for the next development phase.

CHAOS’s portal (PXV2), is an E-commerce website that allows for contracted customers to be able to purchase hard-goods and gases online via the portal. The current portal is built on Computers Unlimited (CU) platform which is scheduled to retire in 2013 and hence the need to be replace the current version to a newer platform that can leverage the existing E-catalogs used by the portal built on IBM Websphere commerce software(WCS).

The scope of the project is to build the new PXV2 portal and integrate it with various external systems. Here are the requirements for this contest :

7.    Manage Products related functions (4.4.7 – 4.4.10)
8.    Manage Shopping Cart (4.4.11 – 4.4.15)
9.    Use Customization Functionality (4.4.20 – 4.4.22)
10.    Manage Report (4.4.23 – 4.4.24)
11.    Use Administrative Functionality (4.4.25 – 4.4.33)
12.    Impersonate User (4.4.34)
Note : Please remember the existing PXV2 application is integrated with other external system like eCatalog, ImageNow, Lotus Notes Database and other systems. Please refer to conceptualization documents section “4.3 dependencies” for complete list of external systems.

Target Audience
There will be 4 user that using this application, they are :
1.    Potential Client/Customer (Unregistered User)
2.    CHAOS Customer (Registered User)
3.    Site Administrator
4.    Call Center user
IMPORTANT : you need to create workflow for each user. All user roles needs to be presented in your submissions. Refer to conceptualization documents for their access to the application.

Judging Criteria
Your submission will be judged using following criteria :
1.    Completeness and accuracy of the wireframe as defined in the contest details
2.    How well you implement the required data and provides suggestion, interactions and the user flow.
3.    User Experience
4.    How well your wireframes provide a consistent user flow

Submission and Source Files:   
Preview Image
Create a 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file and place a screenshot from your submission within it.

Submission File
All requested contest requirements/screens as clickable HTML files unless otherwise stated in the contest details.

Source Files
Wireframes should be built in HTML, Axure (.rp).

Finalfix
As part of the Final Fix phase, you may be asked to remove, update, or change some features of the wireframe.

You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
