Challenge Summary

Welcome to CSFV Gaming Community Wireframes Contest. We need you to create HTML wireframes for a community website focused on gaming. We’re looking for a modern way to deliver important information to users. We’ll be running multiple contests for this project, so jump in and get acquainted with this long time project.

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit the requested wireframes for client review.

Round 2

Final wireframes will contain all of the functionalities plus any updates from client feedback.

The primary goal of this contest is to create HTML wireframes for a community website, a very large one, that integrates social/profiles information with browser-based games like puzzles, logic games.

We are looking for this to be a fun gaming community. This website will present a lot of different information together with games to play. We’re looking for a “community site” feel that helps to display a lot of information in a non-cluttered way. At the same time, this must be easy to use (large demographic audience).

General Requirements
- Produce HTML clickthrough wireframes that can be used to demonstrate all mentioned functionalities as required in each round.
- The website must be very easy to use and intuitive. Keep that in mind when designing your solution.
- Develop as many pages/elements you need to complete all the requirements.

Wireframe Requirements
These wireframes will cover part of the user features of the gaming website module (Module 1).

Your wireframes should cover how different user roles make pages look. Notice most of the pages are the same for all users but some of them have extra permissions to alter content.

Your submission must cover at least these features (you’re welcome to add more features that help with the final result):

4.4.1 View Homepage
4.4.2 Get News
4.4.6 View Posted Games
- We want to control the importance levels of the games, taking care about which games end up on top/bottom, etc. Maybe we should display the list of games as columns or some way to provide the same importance to every game.
4.4.7 View Tournaments
4.4.8 View Contests
4.4.9 Perform Searching
4.4.10 Get Help
4.4.15 Print Web Pages
4.4.17 Register to Application
4.4.18 Login
4.4.19 Logout
4.4.20 Recover Forgotten Password
4.4.21 View User Profiles
- Take care of how private and public profiles behave.
4.4.22 Customize Profile
4.4.23 Share User Data
4.4.24 Unregister from Application
4.4.25 Get Notified By Email
4.4.26 View Dashboard
- There should be info saying what games are recommended for the user, or games that have yet to be completed. Basically there will be a system for recommendations based on the user preferences. So this should be one of the elements of the dashboard. User dashboard (with its activity stream) and user wall are important - we want this to be a social network for games.
4.4.27 Customize Dashboard
4.4.29 Write on Personal Walls
4.4.33 Perform Messaging
4.4.35 View Leaderboards
4.4.36 View Score Statistics
4.4.37 View Awards
4.4.38 View Virtual Badges
4.4.39 View Prizes
