Challenge Summary

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS VERY FAST CONTEST, SO PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIMELINE!! THIS CONTEST ONLY PROVIDES 50 HOURS TO COMPLETE ALL REQUIREMENTS.

Welcome to “Topcoder – Marathon Match Presentation PART 2” contest.  Did you know besides running software and graphic design competition, TopCoder also holds marathon matches, where competitors write programs to solve complex algorithm problems. This started off as a pure competition and challenge for TopCoder members, but now commercial clients are also interested in holding competitions so that members can solve algorithmic challenges for their company problems in exchange for monetary prizes. In this contest, we want to create marketing material about Marathon Match division and how marathon match can help solving clients problem.  This contest purpose is to create the look and feel for some slides, makes the layout attractive and add compelling graphics to the slides that can visualize the content to audiences. At the end of this contest, we’re expecting powerpoint presentation that showing the content through visual communication to the audiences using  appropriate and enticing graphics.

In this contest, we need your help to create the look and feel and designing appropriate graphics for the presentation content so audiences can understand the slides material instantly be seeing the graphics. It is important for us to make the presentation content immediately catch the eye of the audience by combining some visuals content and standards content to make a great presentation deck. This presentation topic talking about marathon match definition, how it runs, sample of successfull marathon match project and how it can to solved clients company problem.

Task Requirements :

Please use TopCoder_Algorithms_PPT.zip as your base design, do not change footer, header or background of that presentation, focus only to create the content. Here is the requirements that needs to create in this contest :

1.    Running an marathon match contest (slide 7), This slide should talking about example of marathon match contest that run successfully (contest link attached) and how copilot will do his duty during contest.

2.    Setting Expectations (slide 8), The title here is setting expectations.  we want to see how these bullet points flow into each other.  The first is to stress that, in general, an algorithm problem is an academic contest that provides a solution – but not necessarily a solution the client could immediately take and put into their software pipeline.  This links to the second point where I’m asking the client to consider the match similar to something that would come out of their internal R&D group.  The third slide is then mentioning that you can take the solution and run some further contests on it (assembly etc.) to mold it into the form that becomes usable for the client.

3.    Integrating Results (slide 9), This slide expands on the third point from the previous slide – methods of taking the “academic” solution and changing it into a form that’s usable by the client.  This could be done internally by the client, by running follow up contests with TopCoder, or even by running further algorithm contests.  In my head I see something like the academic solution represented flowing on those three different paths to a successful conclusion.

4.    Marathon Match Road Map (slide 10), This slide is showing the future development of the marathon match platform.  It’s mentioning that TopCoder’s internal pipeline includes work to improve the platform in each of the 3 areas mentioned.  So it’s providing new features in the marathon match.
