Challenge Summary

Welcome to Packing List Rehost Wireframe Contest. In this contest we need your help to create HTML Wireframe for Packing List Rehost application based on provided conceptualization document. At the end of this contest we are looking for a process flow and layout design of the pages mentioned in contest description that are part of the whole application. This application must be user friendly, intuitive, and easy to use.

Round 1

Please submit wireframe that contains General User and Shipping Department User functionalities.

Round 2

Please submit wireframe that contains all information and functionalities plus any updates from client feedback.


Project Overview

Packing List Rehost is a web-based application for our users to creating packing lists and for our Shipping Department to work on these shipments. The first process of application is user will complete a packing list form. Once a user creates a packing lists it will be sent to the Shipping Department to be processed. The Shipping Department will use the packing lists sent to them to pack the parts and send out the shipment. They will update the status of a shipment as they work on it. Users in the system will have the ability to search through packing lists and shipments to find specific ones they are looking for. This application will also support Project Managers approving certain types of requests and Admin users will have the ability to configure the application settings.


General Notes

Following are general notes you should keep in mind while you are creating the wireframe:

- Your solution must be useful so it can save web designer time and energy. All pages/elements must linked each others and must show correct flow.

- The application must be easy to use and intuitive.

- The application is a web-based application.

- Your solution must implements all functionalities that are explained in attached Conceptualization Document. You should use it as a guide, but if there is a better way to display any information, feel free to reflected it in your solution.

- You must use wireframe note pane in every single page you design, to explain what all items are addressed in that page, what things you added/changed/removed, use it to make your idea clearer and help us to give you constructive feedback.

- We suggest you to follow high level requirements details with use case diagram, it is provided in contest document.

 

Wireframe Requirements

Following are general information and functionalities must be implemented in your solution. For more details please refer to Section 4 in Conceptualizaiton Document, you should implement all functionalites from section 4.4.1 to 4.4.35

- General Functionality. Any user that is registered to use this application will have following general functionality. See section 4.4.1 to 4.4.18 for more details about all information and functionalities.

  • Log in and Log out.
  • View Help page and home page.
  • Perform search, filter search and sort search result.
  • Create, view, modify and print packing list.
  • Save packing list as a draft, open and modify packing list.
  • Track shipment.

- Shipping Department User. This user type will have functionality to view shipping dashboard. In the dashboard user able to filter and sort shipping items, update packing list and attach file to packing list. User also able to view, print and export report. See section 4.4.19 to 4.4.28 for more details.

- Project Manager User. This user type will have functionality to view and approve or reject pending request. See section 4.4.29 to 4.4.31 for more details.

- Admin User. This user type will have functionality to configure application settings including add/edit/remove field value in application. See section 4.4.32 to 4.4.35 for more details. 

 

Target Audience

Following are all users that will use this application. For more details, you can refer to Section 4.1 in Conceptualization Document.

- Generic user.

- Shipping Department user.

- Project Manager user.

- Admin user.

 

Judging Criteria

Your submission will be judged on following criteria:

- User Experience.

- Completeness and accuracy of the wireframe as defined in conceptulization document.

- How well your wireframe provides a consistent workflow as well as implements required information and functionalities.

 

Submission Deliverables

Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission Files

Wireframes should be built in HTML or Axure. The resulting files are not critical in this contest. The most important point is that all the content is listed and the pages are linked together to show page flow. Keep your source files out from this submission folder.

Source Files

All original source files of the submitted ideas. If you would like to submit notes please include notes.txt file.


Final Fixes

As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify content or user click paths.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
