Challenge Summary

Welcome to Facilities Request Storyboard Contest.
In this contest we need you to design a storyboard for Facilities Request application by using the provided wireframe.

At the end of the contest, the client is looking for a clean, user friendly, intuitive, and easy to use storyboard.

Round 1

Submission design for client review:
- All the screens listed in the requirement.
- Notes: Any comments about your design for the Client
- Please number your files in the order they should be viewed (01,02,03,04,etc)

Project Overview:
This project is to build a new Facilities Request application, which will be responsible for creating and managing three different types of requests: "Service Requests", "Move Requests" and "New Hire Requests".

Primary Goal:
The goal of this contest is to design a storyboard for Facilities Request application by using the provided wireframe (Attached on this contest).
We also need you to provide a better solution or ideas of how the application will be user friendly and easy to use. Please read the requirements below for the required screens for the application.

Important Notes:
- Please read and explore the wireframe to help you better understand the application.
- Suggest us more better ideas and solutions! NO restrictions.
- Design icons or graphics to make your design stand out than others. All the graphics need to have the same feeling and look and feel on the entire storyboard.
- Please provide hover condition for buttons, links, or images in the storyboard to help us better understand in reviewing the storyboard.
- Provide any notes about your design or each elements to help us better understand the storyboard.
- Please remember, the wireframe we provided is not a fix layout or even the fix functionality. Suggest us your ideas to get the application built better. We are welcome to any ideas for functionality, popup, layout and theme or even screens for this website.
- Number your screens and put screen names in your submission file to help us easily reviewing.

- Upon clicking the forgot password link, you will the the forgot password page.

3. Dashboard Requester/Submitter User page

- this is the page the user will see upon successfully login as Requester/Submitter.
- There will be a help icon at the top right of the page. We need your ideas and solution to make this appealing on the design.
- Please design any pop up window you find on this page,
a. Profile Information page
b. Notification Messages from Assignee - Pending status
c. Notification Messages from Manager - Rejected status
- Please see the Action column at the table, instead of "View" buttons for each row, we are welcome to any solutions you have about this to make the application more easy to be used. Perhaps by directly bring the user the action page? etc.

4. Request details completed page
- see Request_details_completed.html
- This is the page user will see upon view the details of the completed request from the dashboard of submitter/requester user.
- There will be a "Give feedback" functionality at the top along with the mark of the request as completed. We need you to work on this to make the sections more appealing.
- There are also "Print" and "Export" buttons/icons at the top. Please provide these.
- The attachment section need to be really easy to use, please keep this in mind when designing this section. We are looking for your ideas and solutions to design this section appealing.

5. Request details assigned page

- this is the page the user will see upon view the details of the assigned request from the dashboard of assignee user.
- there aren't so much difference between this page with the Request details completed page
the difference only there will be "Need Request Transfer", and "Put Request on Hold" buttons on this page. Along with a drop down selection at the right top to chose action. Please design the pop up for each section on this page.

6. Create new Request page

- this is the page user will see upon clicking the "Create Requests" from the navigation on the dashboard.
- We need all the form and details to be as simple as possible to make the user easily create any requests.

7. View Report page

- this is the page user will see upon clicking the "Report Generate" from the navigation on the coordinator dashboard.

Branding Guidelines:
Logo:
We don't have a logo yet, so you may use a logo placeholder on your storyboard design.
Size:
The page width must set to 1024px with content width must set to 960px, we want it to support less resolution monitor.
Fonts:
Fonts are open to the designer, But we encourage you to choose and use web safe font. Please be aware of font delivery requirement.

The preferred color palettes are

Judging Criteria:
- The completeness of your storyboard
- User experience of the storyboard
- The quality of your design as well as following the provided guidelines.
- How well you follow the wireframe and the flow or provides new idea about how the screen must looks.

Submissions & Source Files
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPEG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submissions within it.

Submission File
All requested Contest Requirements stated above in PNG files.
IMPORTANT - If you are submitting "small updates or changes" with multiple submissions please include in your notes file what is different or changed - this can be confusing to the client sometimes when they can't tell what is different.

Source Files
All requested Contest Requirements stated above in PSD files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your storyboard.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
