Challenge Summary

Welcome to “Topcoder Platform Success Strategy presentation” contest.  Topcoder calling all presentation gurus in Studio community to join this contest. The overall goal of this contest is to visually showcase and allow TopCoder to talk through with a client or prospect what it will take to succeed utilizing the TopCoder platform. The slides will talks about the types of personnel required, the expertise required and more. We already got the flow and content for the slides presentations. In this contest, we need your help to create the look and feel for all slides, makes the layout attractive and add compelling graphics to the slides that can visualize the content to audiences.

At the end of this contest, we’re expecting powerpoint presentation that showing the content through visual communication to the audiences using  appropriate and enticing graphics.

For this contest, we need your help to create the look and feel and designing appropriate graphics for the presentation content so audiences can understand the slides material instantly be seeing the graphics. It is important for us to make the presentation content immediately catch the eye of the audience by combining some visuals content and standards content to make a great presentation deck. This presentation topic will talks about what it will take to succeed utilizing the TopCoder platform. The content idea can be found in ppt_ideas.zip.

Requirements :    
1.    Opening Slide (1 slide), The opening slide should show the following items :
     - Topcoder logo
     - Presentation title "Succeeding with TopCoder: The Engagement and Personnel Guide for Your Success"
     - Topcoder link "http://www.topcoder.com"
     - Icons that can visualize the title.

2.    Slide 2 (1 slide), This slide will act as visual index/table of contents allowing the viewer to understand what they are about to see in this presentation. There are two things needs to presented in this slide (part 1 and part 2), see "slide 2" for complete content of part 1 and 2 (visualize them!!). Both “sides” (part I and part II) can be on the side(s) of the page and feed into a middle word or graphic that showcases “success”.

3.    Slide 3 (1 slide), intro to enter part 1 - product delivery teams.

4.    Slide 4 – 8 (5 slides), we would like to see you get creative here especially on slides 5-8 that are titled “Managers”, “Architects” and “Subject Matter Experts”. You need to incorporate what those words mean into the design of those slides … a manager has a certain role, certain responsibility, how do we convey that in visuals and still get the copy showcased beautifully?
     - slide 4, visualize topcoder platform delivery team structure
     - slide 5, visualize managers and his/her task in projects
     - slide 6, visualize architects and his/her task in projects
     - slide 7, visualize subject matter experts and his/her task in projects
     - slide 8, visualize topcoder platform delivery expert
Notes : Topcoder platform delivery expert is a new terms here, The TopCoder Platform Delivery Expert is an individual from the client who becomes the key “person” driving the TopCoder platform. They are not a TopCoder employee, rather they are from the client and work with the TopCoder Platform Manager in order to get things done on the TopCoder platform.

5.    Slide 9 (1 slide), Intro to enter part 2 - platform engagement strategy. We think you could re-use graphic (image002.png) – maybe those little humanoid figures at the front of the belt (the clients) maybe we can use those figures throughout this part of the presentation to represent the various people we need in from an engagement standpoint to succeed on the TopCoder Platform – that might be neat to do, keep it consistent.

6.    Slide 10 (1 slide), visualize 3 Pillars of a Successful Engagement Strategy. In this slide we want to showcase the three pillars as equally being a huge part of success. They are: TopCoder Platform Delivery Experts, Executive Commitment and Best Practices.

7.    Slide 11 (1 slide), Visualize TopCoder Delivery Experts (AGAIN!!), This slide Need to show a “rockstar” individual – an outstanding person, or design wise show to an audience that this one being is a very smart/savvy/ capable and then use the 4 aspects that are described in the reference slide:
     - Efficient and Focused on Scale
     - Internal Team Member (Not Outsourcing)
     - Productivity Gains
     - Shaped by TopCoder

8.    Slide 12 (1 slide), visualize Executive commitments. Image visualization must convey leadership, vision, someone others listen too!!! – The executive(s) who play a role in TopCoder success both communicate the vision and put in place the plans to succeed. The slide should show the communication bullets and adoption bullets, but do so in a creative way that shows this person is a big authority at his or her job.

9.    Slide 13 (1 slide), visualize Best Practices to Drive Amazing Production. This slide must show a chronological order and each step building on the last!
     1) Select the Right TopCoder Delivery Expert – Choose Wisely!
     2) Create a Robust Pipeline PRIOR to the Engagement Beginning
     3) Secure and Promote Early Success!
     4) Think Critically and Map Out Road to Wide Adoption!

10.    Slide 14 (1 slide) Thank you and Connect Slide (1 slide), Simple “Thank You” image middle of screen with TopCoder logo – The ways to connect with TopCoder should appear one by one via animation:  They should include:
     -    Website – www.topcoder.com
     -    download EOI Whitepaper – use http://www.topcoder.com
     -    Twitter – www.twitter.com/topcoder

Slide and Design requirements
-    Colors – It must following TopCoder colors, but use color variation to enhanced and maximized the slide appearances.
-    Fonts - up to the designer to pick as long as the font is clear and easy to read. ANY fonts used in your design must be listed in your note/declaration file.
-    References, We attached  Topcoder new designs, you can use it as your references or re-use any graphic from those files into your presentation. BUT make sure your layout presentation still consistent. (EOI-Scale-Source.ai.zip, TC-Case-Study-Source-2.1.zip, TC-EOI-Home-Source.zip, TopCoder_Ecosystem.psd.zip)
-    All Graphic Items needs to be easily used in a powerpoint slides (cut off each graphic items)
-    Multiple slides, If your presentation design not fit in one slide and must be create in multiple slides for explaining some parts of the presentation, Feel free to do it, however, we’d like some easy animations built in please so as a presenter goes from one point to the next on any particular slide, the animation will help focus the conversation.
-    Animation, We would like to see some built in animation (for ex. ease in/out) created in your ppt using powerpoint animation widget.

Preview JPG/PNG Image File
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
All requested contest requirements/screens as PPT (Powerpoint Files).

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design (All graphic sources and Powerpoint files).

Finalfix
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your powerpoint content or graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. If Milestone updates are not completed you may be asked to update them during Final Fixes.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
