Challenge Summary

TopCoder is launching a series of contests to aid in energy harvesting on board the International Space Station.  We're giving away T-shirts as participatory Prizes. This shirt will be handed out to TC members worldwide.

Your job is to create an amazing logo and T-shirt design that reflects the weight of the task, as well as perhaps some specifics of the task, which include changing orientation of the ISS to produce more power from the solar arrays.

Round 1

Your submitted design solution for client review

1. T-Shirt Design
2. Logo Design

Round 2

Final designs based on client's milestone feedbacks

1. T-Shirt Design
2. Logo Design

NASA is planning to run a Marathon Match to solve one of the challenges of the ISS (International Space Station); the challenge is to maximize the power generated from the sunlight while staying within certain shadowing constraints.  We're planning  to achieve a much improved amount of energy produced in each solar array, while still satisfying all of the longeron (Longerons are structural elements that support the solar blankets). shadowing constraints, minimizing joint movement (to prevent wear), and maintaining the minimum energy needed to be produced in each array.

Please check this link if you are interested to know more about the Challenge : http://apps.topcoder.com/wiki/display/docs/NASA+ISS+Longeron+Shadowing+API+-+Longeron+Shadowing+Calculation+Assembly

The shirt and logo design should reflect the purpose. You may use Solar arrays and Longerons in your design.  We want you to be super creative in this! The shirt will be worn world -wide on many competitors so it needs be a good reflection of the ISS challenge.

Logo Design Requirements

- Must be vector

- Need text "ISS" somewhere in the logo.

- Should incorporate the elements of ISS and specific purpose of the contest.

- This logo will be put on the T-shirt sleeves. You don't need to concern about this while designing T-shirt. Just provide us logo in vector format.

T-Shirt Design Requirements

-FYI:  Please use the provided Tshirt template ONLY, DO NOT use another T-Shirt  template to display your design, you'll get failed screening if you use another  template.

Front side Requirements:

1. Use both logos (NTL,NASA) attached

2. Graphic representing the challenge

3. Include the text "ISS" (This is the main text, should be large enough)

Backside  Requirements:

You may leave backside as blank as this is NOT A MUST!

But, if you got some nice ideas, you can show us. Remember, logo's and text should be on the front side. Just create some supporting graphics for backside.

- We are letting you decide on the logo and shirt color that best reflects your designs. Logo and Tshirt design  should complete each other.
- Please use the provided logos
- Please do not use a gradient as it will not print well.
- T-Shirt and logo design need Pop! Think and design creatively!
