Welcome to the Styx Access Control app iPhone Android Wireframe Contest. The objective of this contest is to create the HTML wireframes for iPhone/Android platform based on provided iPad wireframe. Basically, we need create mobile version with some functionality listed more details below.
In the end of this contest we are looking for a process flow and layout design of the pages mentioned below that are part of the whole application. This application must be user friendly, intuitive, and easy to use.

Contest Details
The client is looking for a solution for security equipment installers and end users to monitor their facilities in terms of controlling access and monitoring status of physical security devices. The mobile phone application should allow users to manage the following functions:
- Event Monitoring
- Door Monitoring & Control
- Input/Output Triggering & Control
- System Status & Diagnostics
- Limited Reports Management – Access History, Roll Call, Mustering
- Video Integration based on Events
- Enforce existing User Roles and Permissions when accessing UI screens
- Help System
The resulting technical solution needs to be usable from iPhone & Android device.

Styx - iPad Access Control app - Iteration 3 Wireframe Requirements
General Usability
- The application will be for iPhone and the related Apple’s GUI guidelines will apply in terms of navigation and functionality
- The application for Android will follow Google UI guidelines
- Standard iOS (for the iPhone) navigation and controls must be supported
- Ease of use and simplicity in the app’s design is critical to its success
- Landscape and portrait device orientations must be supported
- This is reference of similar app on the iTunes Store, Kantech Helm. Your prototype should give more better functions/layout than that app.
Required Functionality
1. Login/Logout
a. User will enter Controller IP address/name
b. User will provide login/password information
c. “Remember Me” selection available from Login screen
d. Use of keyboard “Next/Previous/Done” should be provided
2. Home Screen
a. Home Screen will display selection for the various functions:
i. Event Monitoring
ii. Door Control
iii. Input/Output Control
iv. Reports
v. Status/Diagnostics
b. This should be a very intuitive and user friendly home screen experience
3. Event Monitoring - see current iPad wireframe for functionality
a. User Permissions should be enforced as configured in the panel
b. Screen showing a list of N most recent events
c. Details included in list are Event Description, Event Date/Time, Person Name, Device Name, Priority
d. List will support filtering. Filter settings will be persisted
e. List will support sorting on fields listed in c).
f. Screen will updated automatically every N seconds while app is running.
g. Tapping an event from the list will bring up detail view.
h. Detail view will include person picture and user-defined fields (if event is associated with person).
i. Detail view will support launching video playback if a camera is linked to event device. Leverage external video app (See Video below)
4. Door Monitor & Control - see current iPad wireframe for functionality
a. User Permissions should be enforce as configured in the panel
b. Will have screen showing list of doors with current door status
c. Will have option to open, unlock, lockout, reinstate a single door
d. Will have option to unlock, lockout, reinstate all doors or a door group
5. Input/Output Trigger & Control – see current iPad wireframe for functionality
a. Will have screen to view input state
b. Will allow user to virtually activate and deactivate an input so that panel can execute any associated event actions
c. Will have screen to view output state
d. Will allow user to manually toggle output state
6. System Status & Diagnostics - see current iPad wireframe for functionality
a. Will include system status indicator visible from all screens showing error/warning counts (similar to current iPad app) and panel date/time/tz.
b. Tapping on indicator will navigate to screen showing details of all errors and warnings
c. Will have diagnostics screen with similar information to what is in the iPad app
7. Reports – see current iPad wireframe for functionality
a. Will be able to generate Access History and Roll Call reports.
b. Will have filtering and sort by.
c. Output will just be another screen (not an HTML formatted web page).
d. Will support emailing report contents as a csv file.
8. Notifications
a. It will not support push notifications.
b. Leverage panel event action mapping feature that sends email notifications for selected events. Leverage external SMS service provider to forward email as an SMS message (typically offered for free from cell phone carriers)
c. Message will include link to launch goEntry app and show event details if possible.
d. Message will include link to launch video playback app if possible
9. Video - New functionality
a. Launch a separate app, TruVision Mobile, from this iPhone app with arguments to show live or recorded video from a specific camera
b. Once the TruVision app is launched in the desired viewing mode via the URL, there is no restriction on what the user can do (taking into account permissions).
c. The Video app will be launched from the go Entry->Event Monitoring screen – in either Live or Recorded mode only when the event is annotated with a video link icon
10. Help – New functionality
a. The app will have a simple Help set of instructions

Wireframes should be built in HTML, Axure, MS Visio or OmniGraffle. The resulting files are not critical in this contest. The most important point is that all the content is listed and the pages are linked together to show page flow. Keep your source files out from this submission folder.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify content or user click paths.
