Challenge Overview
The client wants to build a new facilities service request system on the Force platform that supports multiple sites. This is replacing a legacy application built on Lotus Notes and is looking to create a new fresh application that is simple and intuitive for our end users. New application needs to pull customer profiles from internal system. Customer profiles include user name, location, etc. Application needs to include workflow, approvals, notifications/escalations, feedback mechanism and robust reporting capabilities. The current facilities application supports three types of requests: "services" which could be building maintenance light A/C adjustment or fixing a light bulb, "Moves" which includes moving employees from one location in a building to another and reconfiguring work spaces, and "New Hires" which includes setup of workspace and computer as well as accounts. The "New Hire" process tends to vary by site.
