Challenge Overview
SOD is the “Siebel On Demand” workflow. The project is migrating off of WebSphere Process Server (WPR) v6.0.2 to WAS v7.0. The SOD flow basically moves an “opportunity” XML through a series of data retrievals, business rules, and credit requests. Once complete a PDF is generated based on the data in the XML. The SOD flow consists of three sub-flows : SOD Front, SOD Middle, and SOD End.
This specification provides the requirements for the Java components involved in the SOD Middle workflow. The SOD Middle flow would go through a set of work flow steps. The sub-flow that is currently part of the SOD Middle flow namely “Invoke CRIS Batch Flow” is not required to be implemented. Also, the “Invoke Credit System Determination” call which in turn invokes a business rule is not required to be implemented. Hence the “Invoke CRIS Batch Flow” and “Invoke Credit System Determination” workflow steps are not considered for this requirement specification. The SOD Middle flow has to use a straight J2EE approach for implementation.
