Challenge Summary

Welcome to Impact X Interactive Banner Design Contest
Soon, we will launch an interim website to announce the launch of the Impact X company and generate interest in the mission, start building a community of interested participants and to start collecting data on what world issues this community is concerned about. We need an interactive banner design on the website that will showcase the "trending issues" of people who will visit the site.

At the end of the contest, the client is looking for a fun, engaging/entertaining interactive banner design, but yet will be easy to understand.

Round 1

- All your submission screens to be reviewed.
- Any notes about your design to make us easily review and understand your idea.

Round 2

- All your submission screens to be reviewed with the client feedback implemented.
- Any notes about your design to make us easily review and understand your idea.

Primary Goal:
In this contest we need your idea to design an interactive and animated banner. The focus of this contest and the important thing for us is how you will represent the data collections in a very engaging, creative and fun way.

As information before seeing this infographic on the website, the user will have first chosen from a group of, roughly, 50 issues (represented by different photos) which ones they care about. We will have given the user 20 effort points to spend on the 50 issues any way they like – they could choose to spend 1 point each on 20 different issues, 20 points on 1 issue, or any other combination in between. The graph should make it easy to quickly understand which issues people spent their effort points on.

Banner requirements:

- The banner will need to show 4 main navigations, so by clicking each navigation will bring user to different information.
At this contest you dont have to provide all the 4 sections, just choose 1 from the list below. Please remember the important thing is to make the graph easy to understand while being fun, engaging and creative.

The navigations are:
1. World
This section will show what issues the entire Impact X community is interested in.
2. My Region
This section will show what issues the people in my region are interested in.
3. My Age Group
This section will show what issues the people in my age group are interested in.
4. My Friends
This section will show what issues my friends are interested in.

- When user choose or click one of the navigation, we want these 5 informations to be represented on the screen: We are looking for something creative and fun to play with about these informations.

1. Popularity
This will show how many people chose each issue. One way to show this might be by scale of the graphic element representing the issue, or anything you think best to represent this.

2. Importance
This will show howmany total effort tokens were spent on each issue. Some ways to show this could be shading light to dark of the graphic element (lighter for less important, darker for more important) or where the graphic element falls along an “importance” axis.

3. Category of the issue
This will show which category grouping that issue belongs to. One way to show this might be to group issues in the same category by a color.

4. Relationship between issues
This will show which issues cluster together in terms of interest (e.g. even though issues 1, 2, & 3 are in different categories, issues 1 & 3 are often chosen by the same people).

5. How the individual user’s choices compare to the larger group

Important Notes:
- We provide the issues name in the documentation, so feel free to use those names in your design to show examples.
- We do not have the exact data already for the data collections, so feel free to show what you think best in your design, for example the graphical value (0, 10, 15) etc. But please make these in a logical manner.
- We're definitely looking for something more non-traditional, visually interesting and engaging. See some examples here, the client thinks some of these graphs are fun to play with. But keep in mind these only as inspiation reference. We are looking for something creative and fun to play with.
- We want to see the graph change dinamically, rather than being a static image replaced by another static image. So if available please avoid tradisional graph. See this graph instead.
- Please provide any notes about the graphical animation in your submission to make us easily understand your idea. The image transition, the graphical changes, etc.
- The more engaging and creative your animation idea, the better.
