Challenge Summary

Welcome to CSFV Game Mini Site Wireframes contest. We need you to create HTML wireframes for a community website focused on gaming. We want you to create and integrate features into an existing wireframe model, base of your work.

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit following wireframes for client review:

- Game mini site (home)
- Play Game
- Tournaments
- Contests
- Leaderboards

Round 2

Final wireframes will contain all of the functionalities plus any updates from client feedback.

The primary goal of this contest is to create HTML wireframes for the game mini site which is part of a gaming community website, a very large one that integrates social/profiles information with browser-based games.

Please note there is no official conceptualization document for the game mini site features; however, the mini site holds some features similar to the existing on the current global site (read site overall concept below). You’re provided with the existing wireframes and the Requirements Specification document (RS). They will help you understand the existing features so you can evaluate and create the game mini site features.

General Requirements
- Produce HTML click through wireframes that can be used to demonstrate all mentioned functionalities as required in each round.
- The website must be very easy to use and intuitive. Keep that in mind when designing your solution.
- You MUST cover all use cases mentioned in contest details below.
- You MUST use wireframes note pane in every single page you design to explain what RS items are addressed in that page, what things you added/changed/removed, use it to make your idea clearer and help the client to give you constructive feedback.

Overall site concept

We envision this site as a global community with sub-sites focused on games, a nice mix of social features and heavy information delivery (Social network + gaming website). The website concept is about breaking it down into global website and sub-sites, we will have 5 unique games, and each game will have a dedicated sub-site with content specific to that game, the main/global website will work as an aggregator of the sub-sites and as a Social network community, that means the sub-sites will have the same layout and navigation of the global website with different theme/colors/styles but delivering content specific to the game.

Global website will have the global items like activity stream, member profiles, registration, etc, more details below. The sub-site will be specific to that sub-site, for example, news, leader board, game content, contests, tournaments, forums/discussions, blogging, tutorials, how-to play guides, shared solutions, etc. Global website will have the same specific items as in sub-site but will be more like an aggregator for the 5 sub-sites, which means there could be some differences in how content in page are displayed, for example, a sub-site may have a leader board page with a single leader board that is filtered according to tournament/contest, member, date, while in global site it will have more filtering options, i.e. filter based game type.

What is the purpose of having sub-sites? This is social network gaming website is going to be more like a Content Management System (CMS) Website, and each sub-site will have different admins/teams, we want to keep them focused on managing their own content on their website, launching contests/tournaments, starting discussions about their games, etc.

This contest only focuses on implementing the game mini site features (dedicated sub-site). You’ll implement wireframes for ONE (1) game mini site ONLY.

Wireframe Requirements
The following items should be covered in this contest. Also, deliver views for anonymous and logged in users.

Game mini site (home)
- It will use the same layout and overall structure (header, footer, chat, messages, etc) as the global community home site.
- We want to replace the main carousel with a game banner, just use a placeholder keeping the same dimensions.
- We need to have how-to play tutorials/videos, game tips and tricks.
- We need to modify the menu/header in order to show the selected game, also keeping the community links (forums, blogs, etc) and a way to return to the global community main site.
- News will be specific for the game.
- We want to add tournament, leaderboards, scores, awards, etc, game specific information in the mini site home page, more prominent than the current global community site home.
- The mini site background will have a unique design to represent the game related graphics. Consider that in your solution.
