Challenge Overview
A web based File System Management tool that utilizes JAVA Applets to allow users to scan local file systems to gather information about the data stored there. The results of these scans are then processed to generate reports that can be used to analyze storage usage. Reports that analyze storage consumption by file age, file extension, file type, file size, and a summary of file size distribution.
This project involves the following technologies:
JAVA, Java Script, HTML-5, Trusted / SIgned JAVA Applets, Web Services, Unix and Windows based file scan execution. Word, Excel, and HTML report rendering. Oracle or XML. Must support all major browsers.
An Agile delivery model is desired so we would like to see gameplans that reflect this approach.
