Welcome to Cessna Info App Rebranding Contest. In this contest, we need your help in identifying and then designing the different brand elements that can be used consistently across ALL Cessna’s Mobile Apps and Print Ads. The design elements which you will be designing or modifying would allow for creating complimentary user interfaces across Cessna’s mobile platform.

We eventually want to rebrand all of Cessna's mobile apps but we are going to first start with analyzing and designing the "Cessna Info iPad App".

Round 1

We are looking for the initial page designs to provide feedback on your design decisions

The main aim of this contest is to identify and design consistent elements (header, navigations styles, etc...See below for possible elements) that can be used across different Cessna’s Mobile Apps and Print Ads. The Client has given their likes/dislikes about the current Cessna’s iPad apps that exist today. (Attached as .DOC to this contest)

Design Requirements: 
In this first contest:
1) You should analzye the Clients likes/dislikes list about their existing applications
2) Analyze what YOU like/dislike and plan what a new user interface should look like for the Cessna Info iPad App
3) Apply your design ideas to the Cessna Info iPad App using what your assessed from the provided resource
- What graphics/design could be used for all Cessna apps?
- Would any of your brand elements work for print ads?

You will be designing the following Screens for Cessna Info iPad App in both Landscape and potrait Orientation

1) Jet Selection (Landscape and potrait) 
2) Jet Details  (Landscape and potrait) 
     a. How a Image Gallery will be displayed (Landscape and portrait) - Jet images are available in the Attached PSD file
     b. How can we view the video (Landscape and potrait) 
3) Compare (Landscape and potrait) 

We are looking for your design updates and solutions to help start our branding efforts across the Cessana Mobile Platform.
Logo is available in attached PSD file.

IMPORTANT:
They would like the iPad designs and Print Ads to be based on the interim Cessna.com home page (See likes/dislikes below), which should be kept in mind during GUI design, but should not be directly copied and incorporated as-is into the iPad applications.

likes:
- Varied font sizes for header
- Nice color of blue for color scheme
- Simplified navigation

Dislikes:
- Prominent block silver bar at top would not work for apps
- Do not use a lot of silver 

Cessna’s iPad Applications:
Following are Cessna iPad Applications, the elements you are designing for Cessna Info App will be followed for other iPad apps and Print ads, your designs (header, navigations styles, etc... should help us make consistent design choices for usage across different Cessna apps.

Attached is a word document with the likes and dislikes of the designs in below iPad Apps:

2) CLCalc iPad Application (Loading Calculator)
3) CPCalc iPad Application (Performance Calculator)
4) Service Directory iPad Application

Possible elements that can be made consistent across Apps:
Analyze the different applications and their design elements. What can be reused or updated to create a "brand"?

- Button types and sizes: Call to Action buttons (Primary / Secondary buttons…)
- Font selection and sizes
- Main Navigation Styles
- Form Elements Styling
- Table Styles
- Video players
 -Formalize the usage of colors across Apps
- Consistent Header
- Usage of Icons
- pop-up styling (Modals)
- Tabs
- Progress Trackers
etc..

Judging Criteria:
- Cleanliness of the UI elements!!
- Consistency in designing the elements
- How well you design based on interim Cessna.com home page
- How creative is your designs

Submission & Source Files

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File 
Submit JPG/PNG image files based on contest submission requirements stated above. 

Source Files 
All source files of all graphics created in either Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and saved as editable file.

Final Fixes 
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
