Challenge Summary

Welcome to CIM - Comcast Interactive Media Team Logo Contest !

We're running contests to design logos for the 4 product teams within the organization(Comcast, one of the world’s leading media, entertainment and communications companies). These logos represent the culture for those team members and will become the brand for those groups – will be used on powerpoint presentations, documents and T-shirt etc.

In this contest we're looking for CIM (Comcast Interactive Media) team logo. we have ran a contest and gotten some good designs, but we want to see more options with  professional, creative and appealing design following new requirements.


Primary Goals
Design CIM team logo following requirements
- Include text "CIM" and "Comcast Interactive Media", the "CIM" is abbreviation of "comcast interactive media". "Comcast" can be text or the attached logo graphic.
- Design the text/graphic to convey theme of what the team is working on. CIM (Comcast Interactive Media) team is responsible for building and operating our consumer web and mobile products.  This team focuses on multi-platform and multi-device application development.  For example: http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/xfinity-tv/id401629893?mt=8 – this.
- Design as professional, creative and appealing for business using.
- Stay away from the "TV with antenna" pictures, try a new direction!
- No gradients, so it can also be easy to print on T-shirt.
- No more than 4 kinds of colors
- Put you design and color palette(legend, hex value) in the provided template(logo_200.ai and logo_600.ai), we want to see how well your design scale in different size, and how it looks on white and black background.
- If you joined previous contest, please don't resubmit  any old submission, we need totally new design.

Branding Guidelines
No branding restriction, Font and Color are open to designer, but note to make design look professional.

ll fonts must be declared according to the font policies when submitting.

Product teams, engineers etc.  Young/Trendy
The logo
will become the brand for the team – will be used on powerpoint presentations, documents etc. so need make your design professional and for business.

Judging Criteria
- How good you convey theme of what the team is working on.
- How professional and clean of your graphics/font and design.
- How good of color palette choice.

What to Submit
Preview JPG/PNG Image File
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission ZIP File
All requested contest requirements as JPG or PNG files
in RGB color mode at 72dpi.

Source ZIP File
All fully editable original source files of the submitted design as required by the contest under "Source Files" in the side bar.

Your design should be vector created by Adobe Illustrator or similar, and saved as layered AI or EPS files in CMYK mode.
 You should provide two versions of your logo: one with fonts in outlined format, and one without.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to complete one round of minor changes to ensure your submission meets the stated requirements of this contest. See more information about Final Fixes.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
