Challenge Summary

We’re very excited to bring a new challenge to the community. We need to design a stunning eBook for a particular manner of TopCoder. We’re looking forward to see editorial worthy designs, with a modern touch and the sharpness that identifies the new TopCoder website. In this first contest you need to design 3 pages only. Welcome and join!

Round 1

Deliver the following screen for a review:
- Front cover
- Back cover
- Table of Content

Round 2

As final round deliver all of the required screen plus client feedback.

The goal of this contest is to design the front/back covers and the Table of Content page of the TopCoder eBook. TopCoder is the thought leader on getting problems solved via Crowdsourcing and Open Innovation. This book helps to showcase our knowledge about EOI (Enterprise Open Innovation) and do so in a clean, fun, educational way; in other words, we don’t want it to be boring.

An eBook can be presented in several known formats; we’re using common PDF for our eBook which will be available on the TopCoder website for download.

Overall, it needs to be clean, easy to read, to provide beautiful fonts, large fonts. We do NOT need a lot of text to fill up an eBook. It is NOT a whitepaper, it is NOT academic research. It is meant to be light and to the point.

Branding Guidelines
- Use the provided template 5.5" x 7.5". Make sure to follow the margin guidelines.
- Fonts are open to the designer. Please be aware of font delivery requirements. Be wise when choosing your fonts, we want to see nice typography, playing with the sizes.
- Overall graphics should feel like the TopCoder website. Avoid black or dark colors as a predominant color. We’re open to various color schemes. Think of monochromatic, simple, elegant, but don’t be afraid of color.
- Check the TCO past programs as reference but don’t copy anything. The eBook is much different, specially the backgrounds (no dark backgrounds wanted) and font treatment.

Design Requirements
Cover design

- This cover has to be very prominent, eye catchy, make the people want to read it!
- EBook Title: 10 Burning Questions on Crowdsourcing: Your Guide to Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing Success.

Back Cover
- Use the eBook title again.
- Add the following content:  Brought to you by TopCoder (use logo for TC).

Table of Content Page
- Title: Table of Content
- The format of this page should work as basis for the further content pages. So think of a place where to place a header title, page number, etc.
- Use the following as content for this index page (with the page number aside):

Section 1: Logistics - How does it work?
- How do I know how long a competition should run for?
- Who Picks the Winners?

Section 2: Execution - How do I succeed in Enterprise Open Innovation?
- How do I prepare a project for success?
- How do you ensure the right talent is working on my project or build?
- How does iteration and subject matter expertise work with "the crowd"?
- How do I manage my Open Innovation & Crowdsourced Competitions?

Section 3: Growth - What can I get accomplished on the TopCoder Platform?
- Can we accomplish the complex or only the simple task?
- How do you protect Intellectual Property?
- How can we scale Enterprise Open Innovation?
