Challenge Overview
Goal:
- We're looking for fresh ideas on how to represent this report card. In general, we want a POLISHED, professional looking design, intended for review by a CEO of a global company. Please make it shine (literally).
- Having the right amount of space between elements (no overcrowding), plus having symmetry and clean lines is important.
- We need to leverage good design to make this busy page appear fairly easy to understand and populate.
- All of the elements on this page need to be retained, although not necessarily in their current location or shape. This design functions fine for us, but we're open to out of the box thinking.
- The fonts, font size, colors and gradients look a bit cobbled together in this design. Hoping for a more cohesive, family look.
- Pie Chart on Competitive Share - would like this to editable on the fly, by clicking on the pie chart. An overlay or pop up would allow for quick adjustment of share.
- Qualification Status table should be turned off (only Title visible) but can be turned on by the user, which produces the table.
- Traffic lights need a Alt Tag to describe their meaning. •Need a better way to display logos on that grey/brown area. Maybe we use white behind the logo portion? Logo’s very in color so need a good way to display them without clashing against the standard background.
- Maybe use a tabbed approach that allows cases to be viewed from here as well. Just show all cases, sorted by case type with a max of 10 cases. •We have a lot of tabs already though. The first layer is Salesforce standard tab set. Second layer is the Mission Critical, Business Critical, etc and then we have the Application Summary boxes such as Quality, Technology that also drive some items on the page. How do we eliminate the confusion?
Our application runs on salesforce.com and all HTMl will be integrated into our VisualForce pages so keep that in mind when building the HTML. We will apply the HTML to our existing pages and logic.
Please see the attached PDF for an example of our current pages.
