Challenge Overview
The iBAT Mexico (iBAT-MEX) is an IBM internal CDC warehouse. The iBAT Global Release G1.2 effort is to incorporate Mexico CDC with Brazil CDC into the POK production environment for IBM internal users only. IBM Buy Analysis Tool Global utilizes smart analytics services to provide sales forecasts and buy/sell recommendation to help IBM Global CDC warehouse managers and stake holders to optimize their sales and inventory.
This tool can be accessed using a standard web browser, where the users can view the weekly or daily sales, inventory status, product sales analysis, the buy/sell recommendations and other metrics for various IBM products.
The scope of this contest is to modify the provided code (iBat Brazil) so that the requirements specified in the RTVM for Mexico.xls can be fulfilled. Detail requirements are specified in the Mexico_code_specification.doc file.
Following are the documents/files are attached in the zip file:
- RTVM for Mexico.xls – This document contains all the Business Requirements for iBAT Mexico.
- Mexico_code_specification.doc - This is the detail spec for this contest.
- Mexico G 1.2_High Level Design Specification_v1.3.doc - This is the High Level Design document which has the high level solution for Web, DS and DB.
- The section 4.1 contains the snapshots of the existing application and the required modification that needs to be done on each page.
- The section 4.2 lists all the BRs related to web (reference to RTVM) and their high level solution.
- iBAT Brazil Code folder – This folder contains the java code for iBAT Brazil which is already being developed and Mexico needs to be developed keeping this code as source. The folder also contains iBATEAR.ear file which has to be installed in WAS.
- iBAT BR - Install and configure front end application on CDT & AHE_20121026_v1.0.doc – This documents gives step by step instruction to configure data source and LDAP in WAS and how to install the ear file.
- iBAT Mexico Prototype.rar– This folder contains the prototype developed for iBAT Mexico.

Environment Setup
The iBAT BR - Install and configure front end application on CDT & AHE_20121026_v1.0.doc shows the general requirements for development and deployment. A clear steps for local setup is ongoing.
