Challenge Overview
SQuIDS is an existing application used to support test case creation/planning/resulting and defect management (primarily).
The goal of this project is to give it a more professional appearance and allow the interaction with the components to be more efficient and natural for the end users.
The core 'structure' of the application, meaning the way test cases and defects are formed hierarchically and the data that makes them up needs to remain the same. There is a TON of reporting and trending based on this infrastructure. But people need to be able to work within the tool in an easier, more time-friendly manner. People also need to be able to customize the tool (where appropriate) to support these goals.
The tool is a certified audit repository for the company, meaning that it stores is at the right level of granularity, with the right level of controls and audit trails to serve as 'proof' of testing per regulatory requirements.
The scope of the project is to build the new SQuIDS2 system based on the upgraded technology stack and proposed UI changes.
This contest is going to take the Home page as reference to proof the concept, and using the expected technologies to achieve the desired functionality.
