Welcome to iMatchative - ALTX Logo Design contest.

A new company iMatchative is going to launch new product (application) that is called ALTX (Alternative Exchange). ALTX is a 2 sided platform that will match investors with hedge funds. ALTX will use proprietary technology, combined psychodemographic information to match investors with hedge funds in a unique and ground breaking fashion. In this contest we are looking for a logo for ALTX that connote innovation, express product's disruptive quality, yet incorporate a simple elegance that will illicit respect from product's customers.


What is ALTX?

ATLX (Alternative Exchange) is an application that is developing by iMatchative. This application is a platform that "iMatchative" are developing to bridge gap between investors and hedge funds. It helps match investors to appropriate hedge funds via an algorithm by incorporating psychodemographic information. For reference, you can think www.match.com for investments.

 

Logo Requirements

- The logo should contains two words, they are "ALTX" and "iMatchative". "ALTX" should looks more prominent than "iMatchative". "ALT" and "X" should be distinguished from one another for pronunciation purposes. For example "AltX", "altX" etc. Do not use word "Alternative Exchange" for this logo.

- "iMatchative" logo should stays as it is. You may resized this logo.

- Design the text/graphic to convey this ALTX product.

- Logo will be used on typical printed materials such as business card and letterhead. Design needs to consider both vertical and landscape uses on documents.

- Fonts are open to designer, but we encourage you to use web safe font.

- We are open to all color treatments, though predisposed to colors that suggest confident professionalism, innovation and strength. Avoid frivolous colors.

- Logo must translate well to digital format such as website, interactive presentations, PDF etc.

- Use provided template for designing the logo and identify color scheme in your submission.

- Design must be created as Vector artwork so it can be resized without loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.

- Please stay away from gradients, as they will not be able to be easily reproduces across all media.

 

Target Audience

User of this ALTX application are sophisticated trained investors and hedge fund managers and also Wall Street types customer.

 

Judging Criteria

- Your logo should meets requirements as stated in the description.

- Quality of your logo, does your logo looks creative, appealing and convey the product/application?

- Concept of your logo, does your logo presents a new and interesting concept? Is it simple yet memorable?

 

Submissions Deliverables

Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place your submissions within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections.

Submission File
All requested Contest Deliverables in JPG or PNG file format in RGB color mode at 72dpi.

Source File
All original VECTOR source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files in CMYK color mode.
Your source files must meet these requirements: 
1) The IA/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined).
2) The IA/EPS logo file with text in outlined format.

 

Final Fixes

As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify colors or fonts.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

SUBMISSION FORMAT:

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
