Challenge Overview
The Global Accounts Payable Tracking System (GAPTS) is an iSeries (AS/400) application for handling payments to invoices associated to the customer leasing contracts. The application has several tightly coupled interfaces for receiving invoice data from external sources and sending them to the Global Contract Management System (GCMS) for contract processing. The GCMS application would like to automate a part of their downstream processing by having the GAPTS application invoke the Auto-Create COA service via MQ after the invoice response is returned from GCMS to GAPTS. The GAPTS application will determine whether the invoice requires downstream processing in GCMS and send an Auto-Create COA request via MQ to GCMS. The GCMS application will process the MQ request and returns an MQ response back to GAPTS. For this development, the GAPTS application requires a new MQ interface to pick up and process the incoming Auto-Create COA response MQ message.
