Challenge Summary

The TopCoder profile badges are fun! We need to create a new badge, ONLY ONE, to represent the special client member badge. Welcome!

TopCoder Badges represent important achievements TopCoder members, TopCoder Studio members and TopCoder Copilots can earn. They are a symbol of pride and accomplishment. The goal of this contest is to design an icon to be placed inside the “Client Badge”.

In this particular occasion, we need you to design the badge for members of the TopCoder community who have participated in contests for the NASA Tournament Lab (NTL).

Branding Guidelines
- Like the existing badges, these will be displayed on member's profile pages. Use the attached UI Kit (Badges_UIKit_2013.zip) to start your work.
- You CAN’T change the background of the badge, the reflection, the border or any other branded element of the “core” badge.
- You CAN’T use clip art of any kind. All designs must be your original work.
- Colors are open to the designers but it must have the current “feeling” of the existing badges.

Design Requirements
- You must represent NASA or NTL branding in the badge design. You may replicate the logos or its elements (find logo references on the NTL site); or just create an element that represents this branding effectively and it’s easy to recognize.
- Design one badge with icon at 48x48 pixels. It should be a detailed design that takes full advantage of the available pixels. You need to use “CLIENT” badge shape from Badge Shapes.psd from the provided UI Kit.
- Design a separate standalone icon at 17x17 pixels. This version will obviously leave out details due to the much lower resolution. Automatic downscaling is not likely to result in an acceptable appearance for the small badge, so you should expect to design it specifically at the pixel level.
- You’ll deliver your submission in the Stand-Alone Badges.psd file. You will need to create (duplicate same heading) a new set labeled as “CLIENT BADGES” and place your design within, following the same layer structure you find in the source file.

Target Audience
- TopCoder members, staff and clients who will be browsing the member profiles.

Judging Criteria
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design and if they show/appear clearly on the badges provided in the template.
- Use of the appropriate shape badge for each achievement from the provided UI Kit.
- Easily recognizable design. We want the users to be able to easily see the difference and know what the badge represents from a glance.
- How well they incorporate and look with the current group of badges in use.

Submission File
A JPG or PNG files at 72dpi of the Stand-Alone Badges file with your new design within.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design FULLY EDITABLE. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered PSD/AI files respectively.

Preview Image
Create a 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode and place a screenshot from your submission within it.
