Challenge Overview
We currently have several SharePoint libraries with forms, standards, and procedures in .pdf, .doc, .xls formats. There is also associated metadata required for searching. We need a simple, direct application for field technicians to navigate to these documents quickly and easily. The solution needs to run on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3. The solution could be a standalone application, or through HTML5. Hardware: Panasonic TOUGHPAD FZ-A1.
They are currently able to navigate to these libraries via "desktop formatted" browser, however this solution is not desired.
Goals:
- End product is direct, simple, easy to navigate
- UI prototype desired first, then functionality testing
