Challenge Summary

Welcome to “MNEMOSYNE Pricing Tool Storyboard Design Contest”. The client of this project provides IT consulting services to its customers. When they got  an opportunity to sell consulting services, the staffings levels for the services must be estimated and the services priced. The current pricing estimation process was performed using MS Excel and they want to move the process to a web application. In this contest, we need your help to create a new look and feel for the application using our wireframes and client branding guidelines document as references.

At the end of this contest, we are looking for a New, Stunning, user friendly screens design and importantly following our UI standardization so it can be use for the next development phase.

The main goal of this project is to build a more maintainable tool to support growing user base for Mnemosyne’s sales opportunities management, and this tool will be used to replace the existing Excel tool. In this contest, we need your help to create a new storyboard screen for the new applications. Please read more details below for the screen requirements :

IMPORTANT : For icons or elements design, please find the resource from our ECUIT_v3_icons folder first before creating a new one. It is important for us to re-use/re-create as many as possible elements from our branding guidelines documents.

Branding Guidelines
a.    ECEUEv3.zip, This document showing our client standardization for graphic design on their application. We want at least reach silver certificate in this application. So please pay attention to the documents.
b.    ECUIT_v3_icons.zip, This is our client resource for graphic design that already meet their standardization, you can re-use or create the similar one like showed in this folder.
c.    Screenshot.zip, this is a screenshot of another application in our client company, this screenshot is for your references.

Target Audience:
There will be 5 kind of audiences that will use this application, which are :
a.    Generic User
The registered user refers to any generic user registered to use the application.  It is used to represent requirements and functionality available to all user types. The generic functionality includes login, logout, get help and print web-pages.

b.    Sales Staff
The sales user can view opportunities, create opportunity, estimate opportunity, price opportunity, edit opportunity, delete opportunity and share in progress opportunities. Additionally, the sales user will be able to generate BOE spreadsheet for booking and staffing request spreadsheet.
This encompasses several types of internal users, including Solution Principals, Practice Pre-Sales, Project Manager, Account Manager, Pre-Sales Support, and Booking Managers.

c.    Approval Manager
In this current version of the proposed application, the approval manager will have the same permissions as the sales users.

d.    Audit Team Member
The audit team member can review all the BOE generated opportunities.

e.    Application Admin
The application admin can configure the static table data.

Judging Criteria:
These are the judging criteria for this contest, which are :
1. Design skill, how well you applied your design skill into your submission and showing some professional design result and looks comfortable for human eyes. This judging criteria including the sharp and cleanliness of your submission, your color combination choices, your font size and type choices, and how well your submission can make user comfortable using the application.  
2. Submission Structure, You must arrange your submission layer in ordered list, we need it to be arranged according their place and their functionality, for example header should be included in header folder, footer, content, sidebar, title, logo, etc. It is required so our user can easily found some elements from your submission and replace it if we have any additional change in the future.
3. Completeness of the storyboard, you are required to complete the storyboard, it means any information from the wireframes should be included or modified (if you have an idea) to your storyboard. You must send all screen that required as stated in Studio tournament format, if your submission not complete, we will reduce your score.
4. How well your design follow our branding guidelines.

Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPB or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submissions within it.

Submission File
1) All requested Contest Requirements stated above in JPG/PNG files.
2) A document (WORD, PDF, TXT or RTF) that points out the creative elements and/or layout changes you have introduced in your design to make it easier for our client.

Source Files
All requested Contest Requirements stated above in PSD files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your storyboard

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
