Challenge Overview
This project will create an attractive and practical custom Java Swing timeline component which will be used to plot and navigate activity (data points) over a time span. The data points will be represented by vertical lines on the timeline with customizable look and feel. The component will also provide the ability to add and display labels over data ranges, zoom in and out, add and display annotations at user-defined locations, and add display and navigate breakpoints. Finally, the component will provide a playback location marker that can be moved by the user to skip ahead/back on the timeline.
