Challenge Summary

Welcome to another TopCoder site design contest. We need your help to create a prominent design for a subscription widget integrated into some of the TopCoder website pages. Jump in now!!!!

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit all the requested screens from the “Design Requirements” section.

Round 2

Final design will contain all the requested screens from the “Design Requirements” section plus any updates from client feedback.

The primary goal of this contest is to design the look and feel of subscribe to blog UI form that will be integrated into the TopCoder Website footer for some pages. We want to easily draw users’ attention to this footer by using bold and strong design, we need your magic!

Branding and Guidelines
- Overall branding must match the TopCoder website look and feel. Don’t be afraid of using colors for this particular footer section, this must be very attractive and bold.
- Optionally, you can re-use any element from the TopCoder Website PSD GUI Kit, you are encouraged to.
- Use web safe fonts. Declare your fonts according to the Studio font’s policies.

Design Requirements
- The design goal is to create a large, clean, super bold and attractive footer to be placed on three pages from the TopCoder website. Your design must be very prominent and appealing; we need users to notice it!
- See mockup.png, it’s a ROUGH reference of the form.
    - You’re encouraged to rethink the layout, sizes, alignment, everything.
    - The footer contains a form with two textboxes, “Name”, “Email”; and a very prominent button with “Subscribe” (or any other enticing word you suggest).
    - There is text that should be placed and designed very wisely.
    - There is a section for “following TopCoder” at different networks. Try to add these very subtly so it doesn’t take attention from the subscription form (RSS, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, G+).
- See footer_pages.psd, there are 3 layers which are simply screenshots of the places where the footer is going to be used. Place your footer designs on each page to show how the look on each one of them. This means you need to deliver 3 screens on this contest (with the same design!). You’ll probably need to check if 3.news needs some adjustments since the page width may be different than blog and pressroom.
- Notice you won’t replace the current footer, you’ll add a new footer area/space above of the existing page footer.

Target Audience
TopCoder members and customers, people with interest on news about crowdsourcing.

Judging Criteria
