The primary goal of this contest is to create HTML wireframes by using a baseline wireframe which was built based on an existing desktop application.

In previous contests we ran requirements to duplicate an existing desktop application through HTML wireframes. Now we want to improve them and add new features. We also ran idea contests to help us out to improve the application; there is a document attached that covers all the improvements and features we need to add to the baseline wireframes.

In other words, you will use 2_BaselineWireframes.zip as basis of your work and OPM_SCRD_Idea_Generation_Document_042513_V3.docx  as your “conceptualization” document. In this case you need to add good thoughts to these ideas and represent them in your submission.

Notice there is not a conceptualization document attached in this contest. Instead we provide access to a VM (Virtual Machine - remote server connection) with a working demo from the existing application and recorded videos that explain how the current application works. Also, there is a Users Manual. It’s not entirely necessary you go through all of this but you are encouraged to get familiar with these resources.

About OPM

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has an existing legacy application called the Service Credit Redeposit/Deposit System (SCRD). The mission of the Service Credit Redeposit/Deposit System (SCRD) is to compute deposits and redeposits, create an initial bill, post payments, and send out receipts to federal employees for periods of federal employment service that were either not covered by retirement deductions (deposits), or were covered and later refunded by the federal government (redeposits).

SCRD Application on VM
We have a copy of the application running on a virtual machine (VM). You will need to use a remote desktop connection tool in order to enter the VM and use the existing SCRD application. In order to gain access, please email the PM at rsial@topcoder.com. If you need assistance on the connection don’t hesitate to ask in forums.
- See how to connect to a VM using Windows OS instructions.
- See how to connect to a VM using MAC OS instructions. You could use MS Office's RDC too.

General Requirements
- Produce HTML click-through wireframes to fulfill the requirements from the idea generation document.
- The design should be simple, user-friendly and easy to understand. Avoid over populating spaces with too many form elements.
- Develop as many pages/elements you need to complete all the requirements.

Wireframes Requirements
Incorporate all of the ideas within the attached Idea Generation document into an existing set of wireframes. Some items are very specific in that we’re asking you to add a specific item. Other items are not as clear, and we’re relying on you to add some thoughts and interpret these ideas and include them in your submissions as mentioned above.

All submissions must address every idea raised in the document. If anything is missing, a submission will not have met this requirement and will be disqualified. There are
29 ideas that need to be incorporated into the wireframes, all with varying degrees of complexity.

The 1st 4 ideas in the Idea Generation document (Add Account Search Overlay, Change Employee Tab to Account Tab, Minimize Account Summary & Account Notes and Tab UI Improvements) have already been incorporated into 1_InitialWireframes.zip (an old previous version of the wireframes). As part of this task, you have to copy the 1st 4 items (described in the Idea Generation document) from the initial wireframes, into our baseline wireframes along with all of the new ideas. The copying of the 4 ideas from the POC wireframes into the baseline wireframes need to follow the style of the baseline wireframes.
