Welcome to “TC Presentation – Open Innovation to Create New Mobile User Experience” contest. We are calling all PowerPoint presentation gurus to join this contest. This contest purpose is to create a new deck of presentation that talking about step by step (6 steps) stage/process to create mobile application using Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing method at TopCoder. At the end of this contest, we’re expecting powerpoint presentation that showing the content through visual communication to the audiences using  appropriate and enticing graphics.

For this contest, we need your help to create the look and feel and designing appropriate graphics for our powerpoint presentation content so audiences can understand the slides material instantly be seeing the graphics. It is important for us to make the presentation content immediately catch the eye of the audience by combining some visuals content and standards content to make a great presentation deck.

The presentation topic is “Using Open Innovation & Crowdsourcing to Create New Mobile User Experiences”.  In this presentation, we want to show the audiences progress to create mobile application using open innovation and crowdsourcing method at TopCoder. There are 6 different stages of creating a mobile application at TopCoder:

1 – Conceptualization
2 – Wireframes
3 – Screen Designs/Storyboards
4 – Architecture – Front End & Back End
5 – Assembly
6 – Bug Hunt

We want to explains each of those steps in this presentation. Below are the slides requirements that needed to be create in this contest :

General Slide Requirements :
- Background, we want all content on the 6 main slides to be put inside an iPad (tablet) frame in landscape mode (check bg-slide.jpg for an example of the frame, do not use this one). These 6 slides must share the same “frame” in this presentation. Please design the “frame” to be enticing and professional. Also, incorporate TopCoder [ ] branding and it’s name into the frame design.
- Each slide should have the title of type of contest (ex, conceptualization, wireframes, etc).
- Each slide should have Average cost – so an editable way to showcase $ amount with a nice “$” graphic
- Each slide should have Average duration – same need as $, with a nice “time” graphic
- The largest part should be a  visualization of the output from each contest – a nice graphic that represents a typical output from the type of competition (can be found from content details below).

Content Details :
1. Title Slide (Slide 1), use title “Using Open Innovation & Crowdsourcing to Create New Mobile User Experiences”. In this slide, please create some graphic/art work that show “sleek” mobile interface, the overall slide design must have clean design, very intuitive looking and fantastic as an opening slide.

2. Conceptualization Slide (Slide 2), a Graphic of pencil and paper and the interface idea “sketched out” – would be good to really focus on UI/UX concept being shown in a simple way – maybe facial recognition – so a sketch of a user holding up their mobile, the mobile identifying them, and the mobile making a personalized “suggestion” all in a loose “sketched out” form. 3. Wireframes Slide (Slide 3), nice visualization of what would be a clickable wireframe showcasing a user path. More information about wireframes contest : http://community.topcoder.com/studio/help/competition-types/contest-types/

4. Screen Designs/Storyboards Slide (Slide 4), nice visualization of great design elements showcasing how the app would look and feel – focus here is on really sharp graphics/icons and arrows to show how the UI/UX would function. 5. Architecture – Front End & Back End Slide (Slide 5), visualization of the “back-end” architecture showing the user paths, where the data “ties” to, how the data is distributed back to the user, etc …More information about Architecture contest : http://apps.topcoder.com/wiki/display/tc/Architecture+Overview

6. Assembly Slide (Slide 6), visualization of taking the “pieces” – wireframes, design elements, architecture – and applying “code” to make it come together – perhaps we should show a terms like – iOS, Android. Slide and Design Guidelines
- Colors, It must following TopCoder colors, but use color variation to enhanced and maximized the slide appearances.
- Fonts, Up to the designer to pick as long as the font is clear and easy to read. ANY fonts used in your design must be listed in your note/declaration file.
- References, We attached  Several TopCoder Presentation design, you can use it as your references or re-use any graphic from those files into your presentation. BUT make sure your layout presentation still consistent.
- Screen Size, Use 1024x768px screen resolution size.
- All Graphic Design needs to be easily used in a powerpoint slides.

Judging Criteria :
- How well you design the slide to becomes amazing and fantastic for our audience.
- How well you illustrate and explain the information in your slides.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.

Submission and Source Files :
Preview JPG/PNG Image File
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
All requested contest requirements/screens as PPT (Powerpoint Files).

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design (All graphic sources and Powerpoint files).

Finalfix
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your powerpoint content or graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. If Milestone updates are not completed you may be asked to update them during Final Fixes.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
