Challenge Summary

Welcome to Websites Message Pages Design Contest. We need to run simple updates to several pages that are very similar among each other. This is a fast and short scope contest, jump in now!

The primary goal of this contest is to update several web pages for the CSFV websites. We need “Coming Soon” areas, to take care of certain messages and so on.

Briefly, the CSFV project holds 6 websites in total, one global site and five mini sites that are very similar (layout wise) among each other. There is more information below about how CSFV works.

What is CSFV?
The Crowd Sourced Formal Verification (CSFV) program seeks to make formal program verification more cost-effective by reducing the skill set required for verification. The approach is to transform software verification (testing) into a more accessible task by creating a game that reflects the code model. Basically, the users will be playing games and at the same time they will be making software verification. We are looking to use the tool to verify open source software.

We envision this site as a global community with sub-sites focused on games, a nice mix of social features and heavy information delivery (social network + gaming website). The website concept is about breaking it down into global website and sub-sites, we will have 5 unique games, and each game will have a dedicated sub-site with content specific to that game, the main/global website will work as an aggregator of the sub-sites and as a Social network community, that means the sub-sites will have the same layout and navigation of the global website with different theme/colors/styles but delivering content specific to the game.

This description is meant to guide you on how the site works. This contest only focuses on updating some pages from the global site and mini sites.

Branding and Guidelines
- The overall look must match the current design. Notice that “Consistency” is part of the judgment criteria for this contest, make it feel the same.
- Use web-safe fonts for the pages content.
- Your design must fit 1024 pixels wide screen resolution.
- Colors must match and appeal the current colors from the provided design.

Storyboard Requirements
As mentioned above, the CSFV project holds six (6) websites you’ll be working with. In most of the tasks you’ll need to run updates on each of them. Notice you are provided with lots of resources in the source files. This doesn’t mean you need to update all those files; in fact, you can create new files per site and work on them if that makes the task easier for you, just a suggestion.

- CSFV Global Site.
- Stormbound Mini Site.
- Circuitbot Mini Site.
- Xilem Mini Site.
- TrafficJam Mini Site.
- Ghostmap Mini Site.

1) Coming Soon Pages
The CSFV websites have sections that need a “Coming Soon” message because they won’t be available for now. Design a “Coming Soon” area for the following sections keeping the current overall layout structure (header, content area – here the message – and footer). The design should be consistent among all the sites but keeping their unique theme at the same time. You could probably use each section icon, page title and add something nice to show a simple, good looking page.

- Tournaments page: 4 screens, CSFV Global, Circuitbot, TrafficJam, Ghostmap.
- Contests page: 4 screens, CSFV Global, Circuitbot, TrafficJam, Ghostmap.
- Achievements page: 5 screens, CSFV Global, Stormbound, Circuitbot, TrafficJam, Ghostmap.
- Quests page: only one screen, for Stormbound. This is the same Tournaments section; it just has a different name.
- Badges page: only one screen, for Stormbound. Make “Badge of the Day” area have a “Coming Soon” message, the rest keeps the same.
- Honors page: only one screen, for Stormbound.
- Profile page: 6 screens, one per each site.

* 22 screens to display for this requirement.

2) Coming Soon Widgets
This is only for Stormbound Minisite. Notice in 1.home.png how the widgets are in “disabled” mode and shows a message for sign in. Design something similar with the message “Coming Soon” for the following widgets.

- 2.Home-logged-In.png: achievements and honors with “Coming Soon” widgets.
- 4.Play-Logged-in: quests and achievements with “Coming Soon” widgets.

* 2 screens to display for this requirement.

3) No Activity Messages
There are certain sections that are available but they don’t have certain activity at the moment. For instance, the tournaments section is up but there are not tournaments yet, we would display a message like “There are no tournaments available at this moment.” - Design no activity pages for the following sections.

- Tournaments page: 4 screens, CSFV Global, Circuitbot, TrafficJam, Ghostmap.
- Contests page: 4 screens, CSFV Global, Circuitbot, TrafficJam, Ghostmap.
- Quests page: only one screen, for Stormbound.
- Honors page: only one screen, for Stormbound.

* 10 screens to display for this requirement.

4) Error Pages
Design an error page for each CSFV website that shows an apology message because the site went down for any reason. It should be something simple and consistent among all the sites. See some inspiration (just for reference, don’t copy) on this external page.

* 6 screens to display for this requirement.

**Note: we expect to receive 40 screens total on this contest.

Target Audience
