We need to do some work on organizing and updating our technology standards and conventions.

It includes following updates at least:

• Guideline Update
• Scorecard Update
• Standards Update

2. Contest Overview

We have seen some discussions about the contest guideline, scorecard and other contest related things in Software Forums.

So we decided to launch a formal contest to collect the ideas from software community. We will discuss these suggestions with management team and improve the contest guideline and scorecard.

The architecture community idea and scorecard improvement contest are completed and Module Assembly Tutorial contest is also completed.

This contest will be used to collect the community ideas about Assembly contest and your suggestions will be considered in scorecard improvement contest.

3. Submit Your Ideas

You can submit the idea to https://apps.topcoder.com/bugs/browse/CIBH

Please set the type (e.g. New Feature, Improvement) and select the catalog properly (e.g. Module Assembly, System Assembly, POC Assembly, Release Assembly, Prototype Assembly).

Note: We only accept the general suggestion to guideline / scorecards. You can include some examples in past contests. e.g. A submission with a lot of function issues but get a high score in review because the presentation of the submission is very good - maybe we should adjust the weight of the requirement fulfillment vs presentation. The example of past contest will only help us to understand your suggestion and judge the priority of the suggestion, we won't use it to change the contest result or punish the software members.  This contest won't accept any challenge / reappeal to the contest submissions.

4. Contest Rule

The contest rule is same as the Bug Hunt contest.

It will be reviewed by copilot first. Copilot will remove the duplicate and invalid suggestions. Then copilot will send all the valid suggestions to management team and topcoder managers will make the final decision on the result.

5. Contest Prize

1st Place: $600

2nd Place: $300

3rd Place: $200

4rd Place: $100

Other contestants will receive $10 / per accepted suggestion.
