Welcome to the Hestia Business Information (BI) Logo Design Contest. The goal of this competition is to create a logo that recognizes this business division within Hestia.

The Hestia Business Information (BI) Division is an internal facing group that manages reporting, data analysis and metrics of all their business groups.

Contest Details
Business Information is a broad category of applications and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions. BI applications include the activities of decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP), statistical analysis, forecasting, and data mining.

The goal of this contest is to design a logo for the Business Information team within Hestia

Note: Hestia is a codename - please see downloads for company name and logo

Logo Requirements
- We are looking for something fresh and explains "Business Intellegence" clearly.
- The logo should contain "Business Information" text.
- Reference the existing "Hestia" logo. Your logo should belong to the same "family"
- The existing Hestia logo should remain untouched, only the "Business Information" portion of the name should be stylized/added to the Hestia logo
- Color should match with Hestia Primary Color. Refer to attached (Hestia-Style-Guide_v1.3.doc.zip)
- Fonts are open to the designer, no need match current logo. Include the name of the font and a link to where it can be downloaded/purchased. DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files.
- Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.
- The logo should grasp the message of the logo design within three seconds of the first glimpse. Anyone who sees your logo for the first time should retain that image in their memory.
- Submit your design within provided logo template (LogoTemplate.eps.zip)
- You need make sure your logo looks okay above light or dark background.

Judging Criteria
- Relevance: How does your logo convey what the Hestia "Business Information" division is all about?
- Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional and clean? Is the composition/layout well done? Have you used typography in a meaningful way?
- Concept: Does your logo present a new and interesting concept?

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG image files based on contest submission requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original VECTOR source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files. Your source files must meet these requirements:
1) The IA/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined).
2) The IA/EPS logo file with text in outlined format.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
