Challenge Overview
We are looking for an enterprise level solution authorization as re-useable services. The authorization capability/engine, as we define it, is a function of determining access rights to resources or data objects for a given action or operation. This is more than ABAC (Attribute Based Authorization). It is relational or model based to allow for more rich and expressive authorization requirements. This authorization server will be an expressively powerful access control component that allows users to manage, simulate and enforce fine-grained policies written in a domain specific language/model/rule definition (ex: XACML).
There are two initial work streams of remediation of the existing service component and the evaluation, design, and POC (Proof of Concept) for the new authorization services. The overall goal is to expand the POC into a fully functional enterprise capability and services. We are looking for long term engagement for this rich and demanding space.
