Challenge Summary

We are always glad to introduce design challenges regarding to our websites. We have a new design for the TopCoder website which needs a few updates in certain sections.

This is a single round contest, simple and fast!

The primary goal of this contest is to design updates to an existing design of the TopCoder home page. See instructions below.

Design Requirements
- Use the provided home design (TCHome.psd) as baseline for your work and complete the requirements according to two update zones.
-
Any modifications you do, keep the same style shown in the design.
- Don’t change the height of the update zones.
- Declare your fonts according to the Studio font’s policies.

1) Update Zone #1
- See updatezone1.jpg.
- We are looking for proposals on how to improve the look on that specific area.
- The design task is to improve the community area at the top left part of the page. We feel the map+community graphic is too centered and the map looks awkward with no words surrounding it.
- Suggest an improvement to make this look more balanced and exciting.
- You are free to modify sizes, positions, fonts.
- Deliver three (3) different proposals for this zone.

2) Update Zone #2
- See updatezone2.jpg.
- Similar to Hot Zone #1, we want to make this main area more exciting and appealing. This is
a creativity-need area to arrange and redesign those elements.
- Redesign this area at your will with the sole goal of  making it more exciting, visually attractive .
- The same elements (texts, buttons, map, TC icon, iPads, etc) must exist in your design version. You can/should redesign those elements to fit your style; they don’t have to be copied/pasted necessarily. This is something new; you are encouraged to propose a new layout, resize, rethink these elements.
- We’d like to see a special focus on the call to action buttons, make them noticeable.
- Deliver one (1) single proposal for this zone.

** You need to deliver 4 screens total in this contest.
