Challenge Overview
1. Project Overview
Our client is looking to add new functionality to their enterprise-wide Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) system called TRON. This new functionality to submit and track Near Miss incidents will include 3 new screens; submit form, search screen, and update screen. It will potentially be used by 10K employees/contractors. A Near Miss is an unplanned event that did not result in injury, illness, or damage – but had the potential to do so.
2. Competition Task Overview
Our goal is to create a standardized way of reporting and tracking Near Miss incidents. Three new screen will be created. All screens will retrieve/store data on the SQL Server database.
- Submission form -- this screen will be accessed via a link on the intranet.
- Search screen -- this screen will be accessed via a menu item on the TRON menu.
- Update screen -- this screen will be accessed via the search screen.
You can find more details in the attached BRD and screen mockups.
This is a direct-to-assembly project and we will run prototype assembly in parallel. So this architeture only need to focus on how to implement the back end services and make it work with front end to meet client's requirements.
